Reducing pain, restoring mobility

Inactivity and overexertion, can place damaging compressive forces on the spine, and lead to conditions such as disc herniation, sciatica and nerve-related pain.

Whether caused by sitting at a desk for hours a day, standing on hard surfaces or pushing too hard at the gym, back pain is one of the most common issues I treat. It seems that both ends of the spectrum, inactivity and overexertion, can place damaging compressive forces on the spine, and lead to conditions such as disc herniation, sciatica and nerve-related pain.

One of the most effective treatments I use to address pain and loss of mobility is spinal decompression therapy, a gentle, computerized treatment designed to stretch the spine to relieve pressure. In essence, the goal is to create space so the disc can recover.

With advanced motorized technology, the therapy targets areas through a controlled pull-and-relax motion. This promotes circulation, bringing oxygen and nutrients to the soft tissues while reducing pressure on nerves. It results in relief of radiating neck and back pain, as well as improvement in conditions such as spinal stenosis, neuropathy and even issues affecting the knees and carpal tunnel.

How many spinal decompression treatments are needed varies from patient to patient. As always, my goal is to reduce pain and restore mobility without medications or more invasive procedures like surgery. I want patients to live their lives to the fullest again—pain free.
