As the Showcase Home Group at eXp Realty continues to dominate the Medina market and beyond, the team keeps growing and leading in sales.

The Showcase Home Group at eXp Realty team is already on a roll. In the first quarter this year, it has outsold 2025’s first quarter with more than 100 homes sold.

In an industry built on connections, the most successful leaders know when it’s time to look beyond their own backyard.

For Amy Hoes and her Medina-based Showcase Home Group at eXp Realty, that means attending national conferences with other top-tier industry professionals. She and her husband Kurt, who helps manage her team, just returned from a gathering of elite agents held in Austin, Texas.

“It’s not as much about gaining an edge in competition. We are always looking to broaden our perspective within the industry and bring that to our clients,” says Amy. “On a Medina-based level, there’s no one selling anywhere close to the volume we are. Last year we sold just under 500 homes, so we want to be interacting with teams out there that are selling 1,000 to 1,500 homes per year to discover and understand what we can do better.”

The team is already on a roll. In the first quarter this year, it has outsold 2025’s first quarter with more than 100 homes sold.

The Exposure Equation

Amy has learned throughout her longstanding career that more exposure equals better outcomes.

“There’s a movement in the industry right now where some brokerages actually restrict where listings appear online,” she explains. “They’ll label a property as ‘exclusive,’ but that just means fewer buyers will ever see them. This can cost sellers dearly. I feel limiting visibility narrows the pool of potential buyers, and ultimately the price a home can command.”

Amy and her team have always believed in taking the opposite approach, casting the widest possible net in terms of online presence.

Solutions Engineered for Success

A mindset of always looking ahead has helped fuel remarkable growth for the team, which is now over 40 agents strong, including Amy and Kurt’s daughter Atalie, who joined last year.

“She’s been part of this world since she was a little girl, so it was a natural for her,” Amy says proudly. “From open houses to negotiations, she’s seen it all. She’s already been succeeding where others have not. In one recent transaction, the challenges were particularly complicated. It was a property that required a lot of construction repairs, one that had sat on the market for a year. Step by step, she was able to structure a deal that rose to the challenges until both sides reached the finish line.”

Her win is a reflection of the team’s broader culture: collaborative, solutions-driven and deeply invested in providing service to the client.

“Unlike a lot of other large-scale teams, we don’t pass clients around,” Amy adds. “When you work with us, you get someone fully committed to your outcome. I’m now personally busier than ever and appreciate how eXp’s tech-forward approach lets me connect better with everyone.”

She explains the biggest reason she joined eXp Realty is because it taps into digital platforms and AI tools more than other brokerages.

“From advanced market analytics and precision-targeted advertising to AI-driven listing optimization, technology plays a role in nearly every aspect of our operation,” she says. “It is still possible to sell homes without these tools, but the people who best know how to harness them will outperform everyone else. AI is like the internet was 20 years ago, people were unsure of how it would take off and now look at it.”

Last year, Amy Hoes (right) officially welcomed her daughter Atalie to the team. Being part of the real estate world since she was a little girl, it was a natural career path. And Atalie’s already having big successes.
