Failed gutter guards are filling dumpsters

Every day, the team at The Gutter Boys replaces competitors’ failed gutter guards and tosses them in the dumpster. Here’s why.

Not all of The Gutter Boys’ gutter cover jobs are first-time installations. Most are replacements for competing gutter guard systems that have failed.

The vast majority of The Gutter Boys’ gutter guard jobs are not first-time installations. Instead, the team must first remove a competitor’s failed gutter cover, toss it in the truck, and then deposit it in the company dumpster.

“It’s astonishing what you see in our dumpster,” says company founder Anthony Alberino. “Every type of competing gutter guard is in there. Some are plastic and have collapsed. Some have mesh that is way too tight. Others are just sheets of metal with holes in them, bought at a big-box store. You’ll even find algae-encrusted foam inserts. Over the years we’ve seen it all, and the bottom line is that none of these work as well as ours. That’s why we offer a fully transferable lifetime warranty.”

Here’s Why They Work

Here are the four key features of the Gutter Boys’ gutter guards that make them work so well:

• A high-flow, stainless-steel micro-mesh that lets water in while keeping debris out. This effect is dramatically enhanced because the mesh features a raised S-curve that increases the surface area, allowing for the self-shedding of debris.

• A vertical louvered frame improves drainage, so—unlike horizontal frames—it cannot grow moss or algae, which can cause clogs.

• The lightweight aluminum frame won’t warp and doesn’t add much weight to the system. They also offer it in copper, which has a really cool look, especially if you can see your lower-floor gutters from your upstairs windows.

• The cover is attached to the fascia, not the shingles, so it won’t void your roof warranty. This also adds structural integrity when covered in heavy ice. Plus, it’s secured with stainless-steel screws that won’t rust. (The facia is the flat, horizontal board just below your shingles.)

No-Pressure Sales and a Fair Price

Another major advantage of The Gutter Boys is its gutter specialists’ selling style: It won’t hold you captive in your kitchen. “We’ve heard horror stories from our customers about other gutter salespeople simply refusing to leave until they make a sale,” Anthony says. “That’s just not our style. We simply show you how our system works, take a few measurements, then give you a fair quote.”

Unlike gutter cover salespeople who lead with a highly exaggerated price and hope you don’t negotiate, The Gutter Boys’ quotes are based solely on the linear feet of your project. “This way, everyone gets the same fair price. You pay what your neighbors pay.”

The Gutter Boys is headquartered at 1090 West Bagley Road in Berea and serves all of Northeast Ohio. Call 440-454-7040 or visit TheGutterBoys.com for a free quote. If you choose to cover your gutters, the company offers 18-month, same-as-cash financing.
