Everything under the sun
Whether you're dreaming of a pool, patio, landscape or outdoor kitchen, Peters Professional Landscaping brings it all together.

Whether you’re envisioning a flourishing garden bed or a professionally designed backyard pool, Peters Professional Landscaping can make it happen.
The inventive design staff at Peters Professional Landscaping has been elevating the backyard experience by creating immersive outdoor sanctuaries all over Northeast Ohio since 1992.
Back in the pandemic days, founder Chris Peters and his team listened to their customers and began building luxury pools, becoming a one-stop shop offering everything to accent the pools, from mulch to landscaping, hardscaping, concrete, pavers, fencing and more.
Now he reports they are taking things to the next level.
Better Selection, Lower Price, Less Wait Time
“We’re expanding our capabilities by becoming a dealer and distributor for River Pools,” he says. “With more than 40 sizes and styles available, far more than we’ve offered in the past, homeowners have unprecedented flexibility to find a pool that fits their vision and their budget.”
He says Peters was chosen to become a dealer due to its comprehensive umbrella of services.
This partnership allows for control of every aspect of a project, from design and delivery to installation, simplifying the process for the homeowner and ensuring top-level quality throughout.
He mentions that speed and cost are parts of the equation.
“Since we’re the dealer, it cuts out the middleman and we can offer direct-buy pricing,” he adds. “We can also promise shorter lead times. You can dive into your pool within four to six weeks of ordering it, which is shorter than we’ve been able to deliver in the past.”
What’s Trending in Pool Design?
Based in Indiana, River Pools is a new company with high-end precision craftsmanship.
Chris reports trends for 2026 include:
- Flat-bottomed pools: These take up a larger footprint and are perfect for families who want to move, float, play and gather without any depth transitions.
- Integrated tanning ledges, spas and deep-end bench seating: Recreational bells and whistles create distinctive zones incorporated into the pool. Kids can play in the main pool while adults chill in the spa, lounge on the ledge or gather along the bench.
“When it comes to colors, the two most popular are Caribbean Sparkle, a pale sky blue, and Diamond, a medium gray,” he says. “They fit seamlessly with different design aesthetics and outdoor furnishings.”
Going Back to its Roots
“This year our expanded garden center and nursery—nearly double its original size—is offering more locally grown, Ohio-acclimated plant materials than ever,” says Chris. “While many retailers stock smaller plants, shrubs and trees, we carry larger, more established plant material for an immediate, impactful result in residential or commercial settings.”
In addition to landscaping, hardscaping is a large part of Peters’ business. The company builds paver patios, ponds and water features, hot tubs, fire pits, fireplaces, outdoor lighting, outdoor kitchens, grills, pizza ovens, gazebos, pavilions and pergolas.
“A trend we’re seeing this year is the return of the water feature, whether it’s building a pond or a feature that cycles water through it for that soothing spa sound,” he says.
Surrounding any feature, the firm designs landscape beds with dazzling plants and flowers with intermittent bloom cycles for yards that look stunning spring, summer and fall.

For the Dad in Your Life
Father’s Day is nearly here, Sunday, June 21. This year why not move away from predictable gifts such as grill aprons, barbecue spatulas or “World’s Best Dad” T-shirts?
Maybe dad is sick of sweating over that hot grill. Appeal to the outdoorsman in him looking for a new way to enjoy his backyard.
For the man who appreciates craftsmanship, charm and nature, consider an artisan-designed birdhouse that doubles as garden art. Peters Nursery and Garden Center has partnered with a local designer and craftsman to offer his stunning, one-of-a-kind creations.
Carved from rustic wood, they feature whimsical themes like fairies, gnomes and frogs waiting by the front door. Some models come to life at night with solar-powered LED lighting. At $50 each, these little gems are a steal, so get them while you can.
“This is a gift that blends function with artistry and a daily reminder of thoughtful giving,” says Chris Peters. “The birdhouses are limited edition. We only have about 80 in stock and the artist is retiring, so this is it.”
Birding is one of the fastest-growing activities of Gen Z-ers and Millennials. To go along with the birdhouse, you could also buy Dad binoculars and a field guide.
