Making flooring fun!

Where innovations in flooring take a front seat.

With a gorgeous newly remodeled design center and a new clearance center, Floorz in Montrose has made shopping for flooring fun, easy and affordable. The newly remodeled Floorz design center in Montrose has made it much easier to shop for carpet, tile and hardwood. It’s almost impossible to imagine how flooring will look in your home simply by handling a small sample. That’s why owner Brian Erickson has installed plenty of imaginative vignettes that showcase his various products. And everywhere you walk throughout the showroom, the floor beneath your feet keeps changing so you can experience first-hand how different flooring options look and feel.

Because Floorz carries so many different manufacturers’ lines, it would be tempting to just line up samples and let people shop.

But that’s not how Brian thinks.

“We don’t see ourselves as a flooring company,” he says. “We’re a service company that happens to offer flooring. And that service extends from the initial shopping experience right through to the professional installation in your home.”

The shopping experience also includes working with a professional designer.

“We’re not just flooring salespeople,” Brian says. “Our staff is a team of knowledgeable and creative designers who help you bring your dream space to life. They have intense industry training, and they know our inventory inside and out. They help guide you based on your personal style but also your lifestyle. Do you have pets? How much foot traffic will the flooring have?”

Design consultations are free, and no appointment is necessary. Just stop by Floorz with any photos, chair cushions, paint samples (or anything else) to give the designers a starting direction.

The New Clearance Center

In addition to the new design center, Brian took over the adjacent space—formerly Jenny Craig—to create a clearance center.

“The clearance center is packed with closeouts and overstocks of tile and hardwood as well as carpet remnants,” he says. “Our clearance prices are often 70% off retail, and everything is cash and carry, so it’s ideal for contractors and do-it-yourselfers.”

The new clearance center also features everything you need for installation, including grout, thinset and levelers. And to better accommodate local contractors, Brian is opening an hour earlier—8 a.m. Monday through Saturday.

“Now there really is no reason to go over there,” he says, pointing his thumb in the direction of the nearby big-box store.

If you don’t know how to install carpet, tile or hardwood (or don’t want to), that’s okay. The professionalism of Floorz installers is well-known in the industry.

“I know it’s easy to say we are passionate about customer service, but we really are,” Brian insists. “That includes our designers, yes, but also our installers. They’re experienced and they pay attention to detail, so they get the job done right. Installation—especially tile—is an art.”

The team at Floorz can do as little or as much you want. “You can simply buy tile cash and carry, or we can do a complete bathroom remodel from start to finish. Whatever you need,” Brian adds.
