Bennett Family Dental may be nestled in the oldest house in Westlake, which once served as the stop on cattle drives between Lorain and Cleveland, but it’s a spirit of newness that keeps Dr. James “Jamie” Bennett looking forward.
His father Bill first moved the dental practice to Westlake in 1993.
After attending St. Ignatius High School, Dr. Jamie went to Colorado State University to play football and graduated from the dental school there in 2008. Then he entered the military and served for four years at West Point. He has continued his service with the Ohio National Guard the last 20-plus years, and is a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
After dental school, he remained in the military, then joined his father in the practice.
“I love my job,” he says. “Every day is something different. There are complex cases that take forethought, planning and creativity. Plus, our team lives up to our tagline, ‘treating your family like our family.’ There’s a trust and confidence our patients feel with us and that’s exactly how we want it.”
Branching Out
For many years, Dr. Jamie worked with Dr. Dan Woods, another dentist in Westlake, who was a schoolmate of his dad’s.
“When I found out he was retiring, since we already knew so many of his patients and the ins and outs of the daily operations there, it felt like a natural progression to purchase the practice last August,” says Dr. Jamie.
Talking Tech
“About one in five dentists has amassed the technology to perform same-day crowns and bridges,” says Dr. Jamie. “We invested in this equipment for the ultimate convenience for our patients. It also allows for more versatility in treatment plans.”
The practice has CEREC for crowns, cone beam 3D X-ray imaging and the latest materials such as zirconia, as well as a soft-tissue laser and 3D printer.
For cosmetic dentistry, the doctors tap into a range of services, from Opalescence GO whitening and veneers to SureSmile clear aligners to elevate patients’ smiles to their brightest, most symmetrical outcomes.
“In addition to realigning the teeth for esthetic purposes, we also use aligners to enhance a person’s bite and positioning of the teeth, which is essential as people age,” he says.

Dr. Katelyn Kosileski
While in high school at Magnificat, Dr. Katelyn’s after-school job with a dentist ignited her passion for the field.
“I learned how closely connected the health of the mouth is to the health of the overall body,” she says.
She went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from The Ohio State University followed by her advanced education in general dentistry certification from Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry.
“What I love about my job is flipping the expectations patients have about the dental experience, taking them from feeling anxious to feeling comfortable,” she says.
When not at work at the Center Ridge office, you’ll find Dr. Katelyn spending time with her husband, listening to podcasts and working with the youth ministry at her church, St. Ambrose.

Dr. Mansukh Dhillon
Born and raised in Punjab, India, Dr. Dhillon began a fascination with the impact dentistry can make as a 5-year-old with many cavities.
She graduated with a degree in dental surgery in India. In 2023, she completed an advanced program in dental surgery from the University of Oklahoma and then moved to Cleveland.
“Since this is a non-corporate practice, I enjoy spending time getting to know patients,” she says. “We see them, we hear them. We find out their goals and optimize their smiles. It’s their mouth, their call.”
When she’s not talking teeth, you’ll find her trying out local eateries or exploring trails—Hinckley Lake Loop is one of her favorite spots. She will be seeing patients at the Detroit Road location.
