Independent and thriving

Holiday Copley Place offers a welcoming atmosphere and amenities with the support and socialization independent seniors need.

Holiday Copley Place focuses on independent living and helping residents—like 13-year resident Robert Reese—maintain their independence. If additional support is needed, residents can use in-house caregivers or choose their own providers, allowing them to age in place within the community on their own terms. As an Air Force veteran who served as a cryptographic operator and later spent most of his career in the restaurant industry, Robert Reese wasn’t interested in slowing down just because he was ready to move to a senior living community.

When he moved to Holiday Copley Place, Robert discovered exactly what he was looking for: a place that allows him to stay active and engaged, while also offering a helping hand when it comes to preparing meals, tidying up and organizing activities. Today, this active 91-year-old is proud to call Copley Place home.

“When I retired, I was looking for a place where I could meet new friends and participate in activities because I did not want to be alone,” Robert says. “I have lived here for 13 years now, and I just about know everyone here and it really feels like home.”

Over the years, Robert has taken advantage of the community’s wide range of activities, including outings to local attractions like the Goodtime III boat cruise. What he treasures most, however, is the time he spends within the community—visiting with his three children, three grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. He also enjoys gathering with newfound friends in the many shared spaces throughout the building, including the library, activity room, outdoor pavilion and dining room.

“I enjoy having meals prepared and eating together with other residents in the dining room,” he says, noting his favorite dishes are the meatloaf and BBQ pork chops. As a former food and beverage manager for Firestone Country Club and general manager of Twin Lakes Country Club, he knows a thing or two about food so he can appreciate made-from-scratch meals. “I especially look forward to Soup Hour on Saturdays and going out to different restaurants for lunch on Fridays.”

Beyond dining and activities, Copley Place offers peace of mind. Every aspect of daily living is thoughtfully handled, allowing residents to focus on what brings them joy—whether that’s hosting family visits, socializing with neighbors or simply relaxing.

“We have a vibrant community of active seniors who want to live independently while enjoying companionship,” says Jackie Mitchell, general manager of Copley Place. “Here, their days are enriched with meaningful activities.”

Rather than trying to be everything to everyone, Copley Place focuses on independent living and helping residents maintain their independence. If additional support is needed, residents can use in-house caregivers or choose their own providers, allowing them to age in place within the community on their own terms.

Copley Place offers studio, one- or two-bedroom apartment floorplans, as well as fully furnished apartments available for short-term respite stays. Its 120 spacious apartments span three floors, with inviting common areas that feel like natural extensions of home.

“We make living here affordable by including everything in the monthly rent, from your private apartment and utilities to three meals a day, housekeeping and linen services, and transportation,” says Jackie, noting that pricing starts at $2,499 per month. “At Copley Place, we take care of all the details so residents can focus on doing what brings them happiness every day.”
