Functional training for safety

Our goal as trainers is to help our clients become the best possible versions of themselves. Part of that, as we head into the season of icy sidewalks and frozen walkways, means the movements and equipment we use become important to prevent falls.
We target the hips and core strength and balance the muscles on the front and back of the body for stability needed to stay upright in everyday situations.
We mimic real situations that are outside a person’s comfort zone. We use balancing pads and BOSU balls, so people target the intricate network of muscles that protect you when solid ground becomes unsolid. We make them feel comfortable in the uncomfortable.
Dynamic movements like single-leg balance stands, single-arm lifts, squats and hip hinges provide the muscle memory you need to go up and down stairs, get in your car, or be able to get up easily if you fall. The patterns of these movements translate into day-to-day activities and will help you safely navigate instances like icy walks or unfamiliar stairs. It’s like riding a bike. Let us put you through our functional training program and your body will be able to take over on its own when needed.
