Finding beauty up close
Macro photographer Teri Arthur’s solo exhibition is on view at the Rocky River Nature Center Art Gallery through the end of February.

Teri Arthur’s photography journey began at age 13, when her father handed her an old 35mm camera and encouraged her to experiment. He told her to play with the settings, and decades later, Teri is still doing just that—refining her eye, honing her craft and finding beauty in the smallest details of the natural world.
“My greatest inspiration comes from my husband and daughter, who share my love of nature and taught me to appreciate it more fully,” says Teri. Living near a small lake and wooded area populated by a resident blue heron, deer and other wildlife provides what she calls her favorite photo location.
A member of the Cleveland Photographic Society, Teri participates in monthly competitions and has exhibited her work at the Medina Library and Cool Beans Café. Her photographs have appeared in Landscape Photography Magazine and Birds and Blooms magazine. She also has received numerous Instagram accolades and won first place in a category at the 2024 International Golden Shot Awards.
She specializes in macro photography, particularly floral close-ups, but also enjoys capturing birds and butterflies in flight and creating still lifes.
From now through the end of February, her work is on display at the Rocky River Nature Center Art Gallery. The exhibit is especially appealing for children, who will enjoy the wildlife imagery throughout the show.
The gallery wall is open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Find Teri’s work on Facebook and Instagram by searching
