One-stop remodeling to fit any budget. Welcome to Active Kitchen & Bath Design Center.

Three people stand and sit in a kitchen showroom with green cabinets, a light wood island, and a textured concrete floor.

With eight locations and three showrooms dotting Northeast Ohio, Active Kitchen & Bath Design Center has become an area leader in home remodeling. Find out how it can help to make your kitchen and bath renovation dreams come true. Is a kitchen or bath renovation on your wish list for the new year? Meet Gianna DiCicco, kitchen and bath designer at the newly renovated, innovative and interactive showroom at Active Kitchen & Bath Design Center in Chagrin Falls.

“We’ve had a showroom here since 1982, but many people don’t realize all that we offer,” Gianna says. “I’ll take you from start to finish on your project, including everything from faucets, tubs and shower heads to flooring, cabinetry, fixtures and beyond. And you’ll see it and touch it all right here in our fully designed vignettes throughout the showroom highlighting a myriad of design ideas and product options. It’s a one-stop shop and design experience.”

A family-owned business since 1956, Active Kitchen & Bath now has eight locations, including three showrooms throughout Northeast Ohio.

“We started in Willoughby and today my two brothers and I are third-generation owners,” director of sales and marketing and co-owner Bryce Barber says. “We combine our vast product knowledge and our expertise in design to help you achieve the spaces of your dreams, whether you’re building or renovating.”

Debbie Armstrong has been with Active Kitchen & Bath for 47 years in various positions, and currently oversees all three showrooms as showroom manager.

“Customers’ children and even grandchildren come in now,” Debbie says. “It’s wonderful being a part of helping generations of families achieve their dream homes.”

Active Kitchen & Bath offers something for every style, every space and every budget. No more wandering the big-box stores or endlessly searching online looking for a “bargain,” uncertain of what you’re getting and ending up disappointed.

“We offer a personal experience, which means your style and your budget are foremost in every design,” Gianna says. “I love working with customers to uncover their dream spaces and making those dreams come true, no matter the budget.”

Gianna says many customers come in with photos, Pinterest boards and a vision of exactly what they want. Others are overwhelmed and uncertain.

“Either way, we’ll get you to the finish line,” Gianna says. “No matter where you are in your project, I can fulfill those Pinterest dreams, or we’ll start at the beginning and together find what works for your family, space and budget. Once you explore the options, decisions become very clear. It’s a fun process and one that I’ll guide you through every step of the way.

Active Kitchen & Bath Process

Enter the Active Kitchen & Bath Design Center and you’re greeted by Gianna, who invites you to stroll through the center and take it all in.

“This is a no-pressure environment,” Gianna says. “The showroom is welcoming, not overwhelming. There’s so much product to see and we want you fully informed about your options, but everything is presented in small vignettes in an organized setting. Take your time and enjoy the experience.”

Gianna reminds customers that she is just as interested in helping them find a simple faucet, toilet or tub as she is a total kitchen or bath remodel, complete with flooring, cabinetry and fixtures.

For larger projects, Gianna will come to your home, take measurements and develop a planning guide to organize your project.

“I can also recommend one of our preferred contractors if you’re not working with one,” Gianna says. “Either way, we keep in touch with contractors to keep the job moving to completion.”

Kitchen and Bath Trends

Just like clothing fashions, home trends are always changing and everything old is new again. Remember the wood cabinets and warm, rich and textured tones of the ’90s? They’re back and better than ever.

“It’s all about natural warmth and texture,” Gianna says. “Rich browns, greens and blues, gnarled woods and tiles are very popular for a homey, organic feel.”

Gianna says clients are often afraid to make the wrong decision but with today’s styles, it’s all about expressing yourself.

“My mom was constantly changing things in our home and painting walls and cabinets, repurposing and reimagining,” Gianna says. “I grew up with design in my blood. I’d love to help you create that place that truly feels like home for you.”

It’s an Easy Choice

There’s just something about a small, family-owned-and operated local business that only has its customers to answer to and depends on their complete satisfaction. That’s Active Kitchen & Bath, and that’s why Bryce, Gianna and a small staff of dedicated employees work hard to earn your support.

“This business is all about personal connection,” Gianna says. “Stop in and let’s get started on making your design dreams come true.”
