Why are they called The Gutter Boys?
In a matter of days, fall leaves will start clogging area gutters, and homeowners will contact The Gutter Boys for service. And some will ask, “Why are you called boys and not men?”

As a full-service company, The Gutter Boys can clean, repair, or cover your gutters with their top-rated gutter guards. The choice is yours. But call soon. Fall leaves are on its way.
As one of the largest gutter cleaning and covering companies in Northeast Ohio, The Gutter Boys are now receiving calls from many area homeowners to schedule fall gutter cleaning and/or the installation of gutter guards. And some of those customers are asking, “Why are you called The Gutter Boys instead of The Gutter Men?”
The answer is simple.
“When we started the company, we were high school kids,” explains Anthony Alberino, who founded it with his high school friend Ken Wilson. “We wanted to make a little money, so we printed some flyers in the basement and passed them out. We couldn’t find any artwork of someone cleaning gutters, so we used an image of a guy raking leaves. We made $70 in the first week, spent most of it at McDonald’s, and kept our customer database on a legal pad that we spilled coffee on. So, yeah, we were just boys.”
Fast-forward 25 years, and The Gutter Boys now consists of experienced crews of gutter technicians, all of whom are grown men. “Our techs are well trained in the art of gutter maintenance and ladder safety,” Anthony adds.
Does Your Home Need 6-Inch Gutters?
For the average home in Northeast Ohio, common 5-inch gutters handle water flow well. However, for today’s larger homes with steeper roofs and greater square footage, 6-inch gutters are increasingly popular. “That extra inch of width may not sound like much, but a 6-inch gutter can hold about 50% more water than a standard 5-inch gutter,” Anthony explains. “Give us a call, and we can calculate whether a 6-inch gutter system is right for your home.”
Gutter Guards
If you choose to have your gutter covered, know that The Gutter Boys’ top-rated guards feature a high-flow, stainless-steel micro-mesh that lets water in while keeping debris out. This effect is enhanced by a raised S-curve in the mesh that increases the surface area, allowing for the self-shedding of debris.
“We’ve removed failed gutter guards from many different companies,” Anthony says. “That’s why we offer a fully transferable lifetime warranty.”
