Rich fall color starts at Cory’s
It’s time to refresh your color with a new hue or deeper highlight. Here’s how the team at Cory’s Hair Studio & Day Spa can help you make a change.

Fall in love with fall hues and deep highlights.
As the fall landscape shifts to warm golds, rich reds and deep auburns, it’s natural to crave a little change of your own. Whether you’re ready to soften summer blonde, add warmth and dimension or embrace a deeper shade, a seasonal hair color update can give your look an instant lift.
“Many of my clients like to change their hair color with every season,” says Traci, a hairstylist who has been working at Cory’s Hair Studio & Day Spa for 16 years. “In the summer, we tend to have brighter blondes, then tone down for fall, go even deeper in winter, and then in spring start doing the reverse again.”
At Cory’s, the full-service salon and spa offers professional color services, including highlights, color melts, color blocking, ombré and balayage. Each technique can be customized—whether you’re looking for a new hue or simply want to add a touch of autumn warmth and dimension to the color you already love.
So, as you trade sandals for boots and sundresses for cozy fall layers, consider giving your hair a seasonal refresh, too.
Seeing Red
Red hair hues are all the rage this fall. If you have never considered red hair, think again. From crimson to mahogany merlot to strawberry blonde, there is a red shade to suit every complexion.
If you don’t want to take the plunge and become a full redhead, Cory’s hairstylists can add accent pieces or highlights for a new look and enhance your features.
“Color melting is a popular technique,” Traci says. “I blend dark roots that subtly melt into red shades.”
The result is a seamless transition between shades rather than a dramatic line, making it a versatile option for anyone who wants to experiment with richer color.
Pumpkin Copper
Just like everyone looks forward to the season’s first pumpkin spice latte, fall’s take on hair color ranges from bright oranges to warm cinnamon shades.
While chestnut and auburn traditionally reign supreme in the fall, orangey-copper tones are making a strong statement this season.
“In addition to rich browns, I am doing more copper and adding blonde into deeper colors for a more three-dimensional look,” Traci says.
Shades can be customized to be as subtle or bold as you like, with a few strategically placed pieces or all-over color.
Pops of Color
If you want to kick your color up a notch, Cory’s offers Pulp Riot fantasy colors in vibrant, semi-permanent shades.
“I have been doing a lot of blue, purple and green hair color to add pop of color,” says Stephanie, a hair color specialist at Cory’s, who herself sports pink hair.
The semi-permanent color lasts 10 to 30 washes, depending on vibrancy of color. A color eraser allows the hairstylist to remove the color when you are ready to change your look.
“These colors are popular not only with teenagers, as I just added a peekaboo strand of purple on the bangs of an 80-year-old this week,” Stephanie says. “I also just created sea monster hair by color melting neon yellow, green and teal for a seamless blend of colors for an artistic client.”
Gray Blending
One of the biggest trends this year is gray blending, creating a lived-in, low-maintenance hairstyle.
“Gray blending is all about working with your natural gray instead of fighting it, by highlighting or lowlighting to enhance your color,” says Lindsay, a hairstylist at Cory’s who specializes in this color technique. “It creates a softer, dimensional look that grows out naturally, meaning less maintenance.”
Rather than completely covering gray, blending techniques incorporate your natural color into the overall look, creating soft transitions and dimension—just another example of how choosing the right color can enhance your natural beauty.
