Here’s how Bunker Hill Event Center can make your next event hassle-free—and fabulously fun.

The newly remodeled event center that features a spectacular panoramic view of Bunker Hill Golf Course is a “breathtaking” party venue, says Chad Gibson, general manager of the facility.

But as the guy who long ago earned his reputation as the master of the no-hassle fundraiser and other special events, Chad knows that without first-class service, a stunning room doesn’t guarantee a successful event.

“Our remarkable staff has events and fundraisers down to a science,” he says. “They handle everything so the host can enjoy time with his or her guests. They truly make your event hassle-free. When you’re planning an event, you can be confident in letting our team lead your team to success.”

Chad, who has more than 30 years of experience planning events, said his team leaders have more than 100 years of experience between them.

“Our kitchen staff cooks 1,000 meals for events in an average week,” Chad says. “We offer a wide variety of menu options, from breakfast, brunch and lunch to barbecue, fine dining and a picnic menu.”

The newly renovated event center can comfortably hold up to 160 guests. In addition, the Bunker Hill golf simulator room can accommodate a party of up to 60 guests, with virtual golf as an option. Outside, Bunker Hill’s pavilion can hold 100 guests under cover and an additional 100 on the adjacent grassy area, while a gazebo has seating for up to 16 guest and standing room for an additional 24.

“We eliminate the stress that event planning can cause,” Chad assures.

Here’s part of what the Bunker Hill event staff will take off your plate:

  • Design an event flyer and, if the event is a fundraiser, the staff also will design the sponsorship level form.
  • Build a website for registration and payment if it is a pay-to-participate event.
  • Build a Facebook event page for social media.
  • If it is a public event, post an announcement to the Bunker Hill website and showcase the flyer in the clubhouse.
  • Provide an updated spreadsheet of attendees and sponsors.
  • Produce event signage that showcases the sponsors and/or honorees.

“We manage events and fundraisers of all sizes, whether they are family parties or business functions,” Chad emphasizes.

Here’s what you can expect in the case of a golf outing fundraiser: Chad will meet with the organizer of the event for 45 to 60 minutes to explain the entire process and walk through the timeline leading up to the day of the event, along with post event follow-up. Chad also will meet with any volunteers and coach them on how to raise $5,000 to $15,000 for their fundraiser.

“Our team will order the golfer swag, signage for sponsors, have change bags for all the games, set up, cook, serve, clean up, do the scoring and emcee your event,” he says. “At the end of the event, Bunker Hill will showcase a ‘big check,’ and announce how much money was raised. We will provide a spreadsheet of all the financials and a paper check to take to the bank. With registration being done online, we can capture everyone’s contact information so we can email them with the results and thank you notes. We then further follow up with what has been done with the monies raised and solicit third party testimonials of how the fundraiser has impacted them and/or the community. Then we send one last email with save-the-date information for next year’s event.”

Bunker Hill recently hosted a class reunion that was organized by a person in Texas and another in Florida.

“We made it simple, even with the hosts hundreds, or even thousands of miles apart,” Chad says. “I started with phone calls with the leaders. We then set up a Facebook event to promote the reunion, and a website to handle the registration of the guests attending. We handled the decorations in the class colors with linen and flowers, provided a DJ for music and trivia, set up, cooked, served and cleaned up. Our theme of ‘let our team lead your team to success’ came into play as the organizers were not even in the state until the day of the event. When they did arrive, they were able to spend time with their classmates and relax while our team took care of all the logistics.”

The event center renovation follows more than $3 million in investments over the last four years to rehab the golf course, clubhouse and infrastructure at Bunker Hill, Chad says. With increased demand, the renovation was partly prompted by the need for more event space, he explains.
