Translating vision

Flawless and functional home renovations require the expertise of an interior design team like the one at Megan Marie Interiors.

Managing a renovation project is a task best left to an interior designer like Megan Prough, namesake and cofounder of Megan Marie Interiors, along with her husband Jeff.

From the smallest renovation to building a home from the ground up, construction projects can be both exciting and overwhelming. Decisions must be made, and each one impacts the end result. How do you ensure you’re making the right choices for your home and your family?

Turning Passion Into a Business

Megan Prough, founder of Megan Marie Interiors, and her husband Jeff have been managing renovation projects from beginning to end for family and friends for more than 10 years. Megan, an interior designer, and Jeff with more than 20 years of experience in project management, decided two years ago to take the leap and turn this hobby into the fast-growing business it is today.

“Jeff and I both grew up in this area, lived in Chicago for eight years, then moved back in 2019. We purchased a 175-year-old farmhouse that we’ve gutted and renovated,” Megan says. “We have four daughters we are raising while running our design and renovation business. It’s important to us that our girls are able to witness us create and operate our own business.”

When Megan and Jeff decided to form Megan Marie Interiors, they wanted to convey to potential clients what sets them apart from other design and renovation companies.

“The creation of our business stems from two things we are passionate about: design and our love of people,” Megan says. “We believe that the design and aesthetics of a space should reflect the people that live there, which is why every job is truly customized to the client.”

Design that Works for Real Life

With a keen eye for aesthetics and functionality, Megan understands how to create cohesive designs that reflect your style and how your family functions in your home.

“I can make anything beautiful, but a space needs to function efficiently first.” Megan says.

“Jeff and I handle the execution of the entire project, including the design and layout and working with our subcontractors and tradespeople. There is significant value in hiring us because we are a close-knit team that handles the interior design and contracting/project management of every job.”

Creating Homes that Reflect “You”

Megan uses one word to describe the biggest benefit of hiring Megan Marie Interiors: authenticity.

“From the initial consultation to the final installation, we want clients to know exactly what they are getting when they work with us,” Megan says. “Our process and fully customizable approach to design allows us to give clients spaces that truly transform the way they live. We want these spaces to be an honest representation of the people who do life there.”

Megan and Jeff bring a personal touch to each project they accept. They understand family life and the importance of a comfortable, functional home.

“We know exactly what our clients go through because we went through our own full-home renovation that took 11 months. The renovation/design process is deeply personal and intimate, and we do not take that responsibility lightly,” Megan says. “We understand the trust our clients place in what we do, which is why we have open and honest conversations and consistent communication throughout the entire project.”

A Process that Puts You First

Your Megan Marie Interiors project starts with completing a brief online contact form so Megan and Jeff can get an idea of the scope of your project.

“We will contact you, come out for a site visit and discuss the project, budget and get back to you with an initial quote,” Megan says. “We all know things can change as a project moves along, but we don’t like surprises, and we know you don’t either. We keep you informed every step of the way, and we’re always onsite making sure things are moving on time, within budget and that your vision is coming to life.”

Megan and Jeff are the perfect team to tackle your project. From layout and design to project management and execution, they oversee and handle every detail.

“I love customizing every detail in every space of a home,” Megan says. “And that’s the point. This is your home. We care about families. We understand renovating can be scary, which is why we care immensely that we are executing high-quality work. We go above and beyond to take care of every aspect of a project and pride ourselves on authenticity. Jeff and I started this business to combine our individual talents and passions for creating beautiful spaces for families. We’d love nothing more than to help you create yours.”
