Inflammation you can actually see
Venous inflammation is often caused by a vein disorder that prevents toxins from being removed up and out of the lower legs.

Know that age alone does not affect our legs. There is always an underlying condition, one that can often be treated, helping you return to an active lifestyle.
Inflammation in many parts of the body, including in the brain, heart and lungs, is invisible to the eye. But inflammation in our venous system is often visible. We can see it in our lower legs: swelling, discoloration, bulging veins or a collection of tiny spider veins.
This type of inflammation is often caused by a vein disorder that prevents toxins from being removed up and out of the lower legs. I call this process “taking out the trash,” which is an essential function of our veins.
Symptoms are often visible, but not always. Leg achiness, tingling, and fatigue are also common symptoms of a venous disorder, yet we often tell ourselves they’re simply related to “getting older.” But know that age alone does not affect our legs. There is always an underlying condition, one that can often be treated, helping you return to an active lifestyle.
So please give our office a call if you are experiencing any of the following symptoms: leg pain or swelling • heaviness or fatigue • itching, tingling or burning • inflammation • skin discoloration • restless legs syndrome.
