Enjoy Regency's new spring menu

Yes, you can have dinner at Regency Wine Sellers.

Most people think of Regency Wine Sellers as a place to shop for the perfect bottle or relax with friends in the sophisticated but comfortable wine bar.

But it’s also an ideal spot for dinner, especially now with the new spring menu coming out in a couple of weeks.

“We’re keeping many menu items that are customer favorites and adding a few new things for spring and summer,” says owner Susan De Carlo, who was raised in a first-generation Italian family that loved cooking, and who insists on quality ingredients.

“We use the best ingredients I can find,” she says. “This includes locally sourced and organic ingredients when I can get them, as well as real butter and extra virgin olive oil.”

Fan favorites remaining on the menu include various salads, plus Marinated Goat Cheese, a Charcuterie & Cheese Board, and my favorite—the Wild Mushroom & Truffle Duxelles, served on the most delicious gluten-free crust I have come across in the region.

Despite the menu’s small-plate nature, you can still enjoy a hearty meal, including the house-made Baked Meatballs and the Regency Sliders, both made with organic, grass-fed beef. In addition, everything on the menu is made from scratch except the bread and the newly added Lawson’s Chip Dip.

The new menu also features a Spinach Artichoke Dip, Tomato Burrata and Sautéed Vegetables in Puff Pastry.

“We always try to add interesting things with each menu change,” Susan says. “We like to serve items you cannot find in other Northeast Ohio restaurants.”

Of course, still on the menu is Susan’s legendary homemade cheesecake, a soft cream cheese cloud on a ¼-inch-thick, buttery, crispy crust.

The kitchen is open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 5-9 p.m.; Friday 4 -9 p.m.; and Saturday 4-9:30 p.m.

Regency Wine Sellers & Wine Bar is located at 115 Ghent Road (Merchants Square) in Fairlawn. VisitRegencyWineSellers.com.
