Summertime means changes to the family schedule — vacations, camps and lazy days at the pool. For families caring for an elderly loved one, summer comes with the stress of making sure their needs are met while managing the uncertainties of the season.

Gardens of Western Reserve Home Care & Hospice offers in-home elder care with flexibility and no minimum hours. Staff is available for as little or as much time as you need, so you can enjoy the summer knowing your loved one is safe and cared for.

“Our unparalleled flexibility is what sets us apart, along with our dedication to making your family’s experience with Gardens of Western Reserve the best it can be,” co-owner Hanna Schindley says. “Together, Rich Piekarski and I have more than 60 years of experience in senior care and hospice. We’ve learned that personalized care and services within the home is the desired and best scenario for our elderly population. We’ll provide that for your family.”

For errands, in-home companionship, light housework, meal preparation and hospice care, Gardens of Western Reserve offers the help you need.

“We advise families start with some level of in-home help early,” Rich says. “We find clients do better physically and mentally with support in the home. It makes the transition to additional help easier.”

Gardens of Western Reserve doesn’t lock clients into services or require contracts.

“Everyone’s needs are different,” Hanna says. “We prioritize establishing relationships with caregivers before help becomes critical and work hard to have the same staff members in the home to establish continuity and familiarity. This gives everyone peace of mind, the family a much-needed respite, and it sets your loved one up for success moving forward.”

“After an initial phone call, our case manager contacts you to discuss needs and schedule an introductory home visit. If you need immediate services, they can do that, too,” Hanna says.

If you’re feeling stressed about getting away for a week, a day, or just a few hours, give Gardens of Western Reserve a call and add some time for yourself to your summer schedule.
