Comfort and joy
This holiday season, your home can become an immersive experience filled with comfort and joy, courtesy of a custom space improvement from Kaye Construction.

If you are like most homeowners who wish they had more space to entertain—or just a better flow and function—it’s time to think about renovating your home to get you that dream kitchen you have always wanted.
As the cooler fall air begins to settle in, many of us find ourselves preparing for the seasonal shift—covering patio furniture, storing away garden tools and saying goodbye to backyard barbecues. Before we know it, the holiday season will be upon us, bringing with it family gatherings, festive meals and the need for more indoor living space.
For homeowners, this time of year often means a frantic shuffle to make room indoors for everything that was once enjoyed outside. That’s when the reality that your home may not be functioning as efficiently or comfortably as you’d like sets in.
“If you’ve ever found yourself wishing for a bit more space—a larger kitchen, a cozy guest room or a basement that’s more than just a storage space—now is the perfect time to take action,” says Josh Kaye, who, along with his brother Joe and father Ron, owns Kaye Construction. “Fall is our busiest time for building additions, finishing basements and remodeling kitchens to help homeowners create spaces that truly work for them year-round.”
Designing for Real Life
For one Lakewood family that meant rethinking the entire first floor. The goal? A more spacious kitchen, improved layout and updated functionality to better serve a growing household.
“They needed more space and a better design but loved where they lived, so they invested in their home,” Josh says. “We expanded the kitchen by 10 feet along the back wall, added a huge island for cooking and gathering, built a custom mudroom to help with organization, and remodeled the powder room.”
The remodel was more than just cosmetic. It was about creating a home that fits how the family lives today. With more cabinetry for storage, a better flow for entertaining, and space for everyone to comfortably gather, the transformation made a major impact.
Kitchens Still Reign Supreme
According to Josh, kitchen remodels continue to be the most requested project year after year—and for good reason.
“In older homes, the dining room was often bigger than the kitchen as families would gather around the table for meals,” Josh says. “Kitchens used to be designed for one person to be cooking, but nowadays the kitchen is the hub of activity with a family member cooking, someone prepping food and others just hanging out and chatting. That’s why opening up kitchens, adding large islands, and improving layout and storage are so high on everyone’s wish list.”
The holidays only amplify the importance of the heart of the home. If you are like most homeowners who wish they had more space to entertain—or just a better flow and function—it’s time to think about renovating your home to get you that dream kitchen you have always wanted.
For decades, Kaye Construction has been helping homeowners transform their kitchens—and entire houses—into spaces that truly work for their lifestyles.
