Mancuso Homes designs outside the lines.

The kitchen of this recent whole-home renovation by Mancuso Homes in Gates Mills is a perfect example of the company's highly customized artistry and gift for showcasing personal touches.

Fresh off winning Best Entire Home Renovation at the Cleveland Choice Awards, Mancuso Homes is having a moment.

Founded in 2012 by Darren and Kate Mancuso, the team has well-earned a reputation for bringing to life spaces that are uniquely reflective of the homeowner with wow factor design ideas, craftsmanship and an eye for detail.

Designer Jasmine Berry explains the family wanted to achieve a very modern aesthetic with clean lines and bold, moody undertones.

“It was daring to choose a full-height backsplash of Brunello Quartzite,” she says. “Since this is an open-concept floor plan, it becomes the starring focal point of the first floor. The rich tones and earthy veining lend movement to the restrained lines surrounding it.”

To build on the organic feeling, they selected custom-stained alder wood cabinetry with an intricate natural grain.

“Antique bronze finishes were integrated to create the interesting vertical cylindrical sconces with round bulbs at the top and bottom,” says Jasmine. “Mixed metals, open shelving, slab door fronts and black matte hardware add layers of interest. The effect strikes harmony between modern refinement, rustic warmth and luxurious, nature-inspired touches.”
