There are very few shops in Cleveland with the expertise, equipment and product systems to restore and provide the specialized level of care for high-end automobiles. So, it’s not surprising that word got around in this car-owning community, and the growth in new clientele at Next Level Auto Detailing spurred owner Shawn Medina to move to a space that’s double in size. It’s within the same building, two units down.

Since 2009, this life-long car enthusiast has expanded his umbrella of restoration services.

As a certified installer of Aquatek coatings, Shawn and his techs first paint correct and machine polish, then apply the specialized coating.

“These formulas are made from a purely high concentration of silicone dioxide, which once applied, cures to a hard, crystalline layer that gives the surface a high-gloss finish. It also protects the finish by repelling dirt and resisting UV rays.”

On any given day in the shop, you’ll find anything from a gleaming $220,000-plus Lamborghini to a vintage 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air, the model Jay Leno calls, “the one everyone lusted after the most,” in his show “Jay Leno’s Garage.” “When I was in high school, this was the cool car to have,” he says. “It’s become the latest All-American hot rod.”

Protecting Your Finish

“Road salt is damaging to any car’s finish,” says Shawn. “It eats away at it. I recommend having your car washed once a week by a touchless laser wash. Any car wash with manual scrubbers is like a paint shredder—the scrubbers can cause scratching and transfer grime from the car in front of you to your car.”

He also suggests you pay a few bucks more for a premium wash that includes the undercarriage of your car, where salt can erode the surface over time.

“Many of our clients don’t trust any mechanical car wash and prefer to bring their ride to us, which we don’t mind,” he says. “We have all the necessary equipment to soft- pressure wash and hand-dry your car. And as a one-stop shop, we can do interior detailing too.”

Vehicle Storage

“Several of our clients only drive their car in the spring and summer months and asked if we could start storing them to make things more convenient for them,” Shawn says. “Whether it’s from November 1 to April 1, or another person has us keep his car here year-round and he picks it up to drive on the weekends, they know they’ll be safe and sound whenever they need them.”

Put Your Trust in the Bros

As the number of car owners began putting their trust in Shawn, he was also lending advice to those looking to buy or sell their cars. To meet the need, a couple years ago, along with his brother Joey, he founded a sister company called Vehicle Brothers of Ohio.

“We became a fully certified LLC dealership, so we can handle every part of a transaction,” he says.

“People often don’t know if they’ll get the best deal going to big dealerships. Customers put their trust in our knowledge and expertise and appreciate our transparency. We do our best to make the experience stress-free and relaxed.”

Next Level Auto Detailing is headquartered at 601 Towpath Trail, Unit A, in Broadview Heights. Shawn’s service is A+ rated by the Better Business Bureau. Call 440-476-9282 or visit NextLevelAutoDetailing.com or VehicleBrothers.com for more information.
