It tastes great atop a cone, or in your grandmother’s favorite sugar cookie recipe, but if you hear an interior designer say the word “vanilla,” it’s not good.

Such was the bathroom seen here in the before photo. This Wadsworth couple needed an overhaul reflecting both style and functionality.

“The Mrs. was getting ready to have surgery and we needed to get the job done quickly,” says Kailee Terry, who oversees the showroom at Fast Bath Solutions in Akron. “They needed to have access to a zero-threshold, walk-in shower, so we put a rush on the installation and had it completed in two weeks. Beyond the accessibility issue, we helped the couple make some beautiful choices, going from a boring white acrylic tub to a stunning marble-look shower from Samuel Mueller’s Monterey Collection in Butterscotch.
