You want more—more usable space, more square footage and more outdoor enjoyment. Here’s how Kaye Construction can make it happen.

If you want more space in your home, but don’t know if you want to build an addition or make your outdoor space more usable, why not do both?

Kaye Construction specializes in home additions and decks that give you space to entertain, relax and love your home more.

“Every spring, we are busy building decks because after a long winter families want to spend more time outdoors,” says Josh Kaye, who, along with his brother Joe and father Ron, owns Kaye Construction. “Homeowners love spending time outdoors, so we design all types of decks—some that wrap around the back of the house, some that have roofs overhead so you can stay outdoors even when it rains—and we also build front porches.”

Decks

Oftentimes Kaye Construction builds decks as part of a home addition to give homeowners the best of both worlds, like for one recent Strongsville homeowner.

“We added two bedrooms, a bathroom and sitting room in the back of the house,” Josh says. “The homeowners wanted a place where their parents could move in and age in place.”

In total, 700 square feet were added to the home’s footprint inside, and Kaye also built two decks outside.

Kaye Construction takes pride in not only its quality workmanship, but also its creativity.

One of its most unique decks was built for homeowners in Brook Park, with amazing views of the Rocky River Valley below. The 12-by-30-foot, upper-level deck features a partial sloped roof above and is outfitted with black powder-coated aluminum posts and rails.

“We designed a sloped roof off to the side of the house, so it didn’t need to be tied into the existing roof. We also built a storage room under the deck as well as a built-in firewood closet,” says Ron. “We added platform stairs down the other side of the house to replace a ramp.”

Home Additions

For homeowners who need more space year-round, a home addition is their best bet. Home additions come in all shapes and sizes. From adding a second-floor master bedroom and bathroom to building a sunroom on the back of your home, you will enjoy these newfound spaces for years to come. And for those who are looking to age in place, a first-floor renovation can allow homeowners to stay in the home they love.

“We are currently booking jobs to get on our summer schedule,” notes Joe. “It is our busy time for home additions as we start building in spring as soon as the weather warms up.”

Kitchen Renovations

If you want to remodel your kitchen but are not able to increase your square footage, Kaye Construction can help improve its flow and make it feel bigger.

“We can remove walls between rooms to create an open concept,” says Josh. “While taking down walls to make your rooms open to each other may not actually increase your footprint, you will gain more usable space.”

“We can move your stove and refrigerator and reconfigure the space so you can add more cabinets,” he says. “Not only will this make the house feel bigger, but it also improves the flow.”

Kaye Construction can handle everything from the flooring up to the lighting and everything in between, including cabinets, countertops and backsplashes. A family-owned business, you will find Ron, Josh and Joe working together on every project.

“Unlike bigger home improvement companies where you never meet the owners, we oversee each job personally and work alongside our tradesmen,” says Ron. “We are proud to be locally owned and family operated.”
