Lifted concrete

Why replace uneven concrete slabs when you can have them lifted? It costs about half the price.

A worker kneels on a concrete driveway, preparing equipment for repair, marked by orange cones near a suburban house.

AFTER: The trained technicians at Advanced Poly-Lift can fix driveways and patios, as well as pool decks, garage floors, indoor patio slabs and basement floors by drilling small holes into strategic positions in the slab and injecting with polyurethane foam at high pressure.

For roughly half the price of replacement, the trained technicians at Advanced Poly-Lift can fix your sunken, uneven and unsightly concrete driveway, patio, walkway, pool deck, garage floor, indoor patio slab or basement floor.

Operations Manager Chris Zahler explains that the process is fairly simple.

“We drill small holes about the size of a dime into strategic positions in a slab and inject it with polyurethane foam at high pressure until it’s level,” he says. “We then inject mid-slab to fill any voids created by the lift to provide a solid foundation and prevent future cracking. The holes are patched and the area is ready for use by the time the crew leaves.”

What Sets Advanced Poly-Lift Apart

“The commercial-grade quality of our polyurethane is integral to the job that we do,” Chris says. “Other companies use crushed rock and sand-based slurries to lift and fill voids. This adds a lot of weight that can cause additional soil compaction and sinking over time. Slurries can also erode, while our poly foam will not. At just a 50th of the weight and with all the strength, we feel our process is a more permanent solution.”

When Chris investigated manufacturers he wanted to work with to supply the polyurethane, he looked to the best.

Made in Wisconsin, the polyurethane foam from HMI is the only one on the market that’s made from environmentally friendly recycled material and bio-based components.

“To us, being able to offer our customers the greenest foam possible is important,” says Chris. “It’s non-ozone-depleting and free of toxic chemicals like formaldehyde and VOCs (volatile organic compounds).”

Five-Star Service Specialists

Chris says that most of their customers live in homes that are at least 20 years old.

“Educating the customer about their concrete is key to our approach,” he adds. “There are basically three stages to the progression of erosion. The first stage is heaving of slabs without any cracking. This is an easy fix for us to re-level them back to their original position. The second stage occurs when voids across the slabs have caused a little cracking. At this point, we can still come in and level the slabs, grinding out the cracks and sealing them to prevent further water damage. Stage three is when the cracks have spread and look like broken glass. At that point there’s nothing we can do. It’s time to replace.”

Chris says Advanced Poly-Lift considers it a responsibility to ensure every review is five stars. “Everyone in our company has undergone training in our process and standards and is capable of answering any questions customers have,” he says.

Here are a few of his favorite reviews:

“Three large slabs on my driveway were uneven by at least 2 to 3 inches and were not only an eyesore, but a trip hazard as well. Received several estimates for this job and this company was the most fair and reasonable. The results were fantastic, and I now have a level driveway.”

“APL turned my ankle-twisting trip hazard into a stress-free smooth walkway in just a few hours. From the first call, their customer service was on point: quick quote, clear and consistent communication, zero upsell nonsense. They were the only company that followed through on their messaging. Prices were fair, he was tidy, and now the neighborhood kids don’t have to worry about scootering on my sidewalk.”
