For roughly half the price of replacement, the trained technicians at Advanced Poly-Lift can fix your sunken, uneven and unsightly concrete driveway, patio, walkway, pool deck, garage floor, indoor patio slab and basement floor.

Operations Manager Chris Zahler explains that the process is fairly simple. They drill small holes about the size of a dime into strategic positions in a slab, inject it with polyurethane foam at high pressure until it’s level, then patch the holes.

What Sets Them Apart

“Other companies utilize sand-based slurry to lift the concrete. This can fail in two ways,” he says. “First, because it’s so much heavier than our fill, it further compacts the soil over time, allowing the slab to sink again. Secondly, it can erode and wash away, unlike foam. We believe we have a more permanent solution.”

When Chris investigated manufacturers he wanted to work with to supply their polyurethane, he looked to the best. Made in Wisconsin, the polyurethane foam from HMI is the only one on the market that’s made from environmentally friendly recycled material and bio-based components.

“To us, being able to offer our customers the greenest foam possible is important,” says Chris. “It’s non-ozone-depleting and free of toxic chemicals like formaldehyde and VOCs.”

Five-Star Service Specialists

Chris says most of their customers are homes that are 20 years and older.

“Educating the customer about their concrete is key to our approach,” he adds. “There are basically three stages to the progression of erosion. The first stage is sinking of slabs without any cracking. This is an easy fix for us to re-level them back to their original position. The second stage occurs when voids across the slabs have caused a little cracking. At this point, we can still come in and make the slabs level and grind out minor cracks. Stage three is when the cracks have spread and look like broken glass. At that point there’s nothing we can do. It’s time to replace.”

Chris says they consider it their responsibility to ensure every review is five stars. “Everyone in our company has undergone training in our process and standards and is capable of answering any questions customers have,” he says.

Here are a couple of his favorite reviews:

  • “Three large slabs on my driveway were uneven by at least 2 to 3 inches and were not only an eyesore, but a trip hazard as well. I received several estimates for this job and this company was the fairest and most reasonable. The results were fantastic, and I now have a level driveway.” —Robert W.
  • “APL turned my ankle-twisting trip hazard into a stress-free smooth walkway in just a few hours. From the first call, the customer service was on point: quick quote, clear and consistent communication, zero upsell nonsense. It was the only company that followed through on their messaging. Prices were fair, he was tidy and now the neighborhood kids don’t have to worry about scootering on my sidewalk.” —Randy C.
