Clean Eatz

Stay on track for healthy eating with help from Clean Eatz Westlake.

Skip the guilt—and the meal prep. Anna Dey’s Clean Eatz offers healthy, high-protein meals with the convenience of hitting the drive-thru.

Prioritizing healthier eating habits sounds good in theory, but between busy schedules and last-minute hiccups throughout the day, the convenience of a fast-food drive-thru doesn’t look so bad.

Then there are those who do prioritize healthy eating, so much so that it consumes their whole lives, both mentally and physically. The secret is to find a healthy balance that works for the individual, and Anna Dey, owner of Clean Eatz in Westlake, understands this more than anyone.

After years of meticulously counting calories and weighing portions, Anna became increasingly unhappy with extreme diet culture and feeling like she was punishing herself with the food she thought she had to eat to maintain her weight as a bodybuilder. Over time she realized that eating obsessively healthy might work for some people, but it certainly did not work for her.

“I was in a very negative place mentally when my days revolved around the restriction and portioning of food.” says

Anna. “I wanted to live my life and enjoy my meals while also maintaining a healthy weight and feeling healthy mentally. That is what Clean Eatz is all about—balance over perfection.”

Clean Eatz is a café and prepackaged meal plan business that follows a high-protein, portion-focused approach. Believing that all three macronutrients — protein, carbohydrates and fat — have a place in a healthy diet, Clean Eatz recipes emphasize moderation rather than elimination.

The brand promotes the idea that good habits aren’t about following a diet, but adopting a sustainable lifestyle. To help people make that shift, Clean Eatz offers nutritious meals that are just as convenient and affordable as fast food.

They do this with freshly cooked, made-to-order food for dining in or taking out. Customers can also grab a protein smoothie while they wait, stock up on prepped, frozen meals, or join Clean Eatz’s weekly meal plan.

“That’s kind of our bread and butter,” says Anna. “Every week, we do seven fresh meals on our rotating weekly meal plan. It’s new meals every week.” She goes on to explain that there is no subscription, no sign-up and no obligation.

It’s not just bodybuilders shopping at Clean Eatz — the meal plan is a popular option for busy moms and dads, working professionals, and seniors who appreciate the simplicity, affordability and taste of Clean Eatz meals.

“With meals priced between $6.99 and $8.79, Clean Eatz easily beats the competition all while still tasting great. Guest favorites include the Cheeseburger Bowl, Tri-Tip Steak Frites and Buffalo Chicken Mac and Cheese,” says Anna.

Travis Claus, a Clean Eatz Westlake customer, is a testament to what consistency with the meal plan can achieve. Since starting in early 2023, he has missed only a handful of weeks, and he’s lost an astonishing 220 pounds. “This is a lifestyle, and I’ve been on autopilot while continuing to lose at a steady pace since January 2023,” Travis says. “I’ve made unrealistic goals in the past, got discouraged, gave up and ended up back where I started. From the beginning, I wanted this time to be different.”

Anna isn’t the only reason Clean Eatz Westlake is successful. Her husband Michael is her business partner, and both rely heavily on their operating partner, Mary Porterfield, who serves as the boots on the ground at the Westlake location.

“Mary has been with us since day one, and with her help, she’s led us to being a top 10% performer in the Clean Eatz system,” Anna said. “She loves our customers and does an incredible job.”

When Anna isn’t helping at her two Clean Eatz locations in Mentor and Westlake—or managing the many other franchises she owns—she’s giving back to the community through her 501(c)(3) charity, The 24 in 24, which she founded in 2015. Clean Eatz is proud to be the presenting sponsor of the event, where participants attempt to run 1 mile, on the hour, every hour, for 24 consecutive hours. This annual event raises money to make dreams come true for Northeast Ohio children struggling with life-threatening illnesses. For the past 10 years, the 24 in 24 has netted $2.6 million in funds, with 100% of the proceeds passed on to other charitable organizations like A Special Wish Foundation.

Clean Eatz helped Anna see that it’s possible to have a healthy relationship with healthy food and that a bad choice isn’t necessarily bad, just convenient, and not worth agonizing over. It provides nutritious, sustainable and affordable meals that make achieving one’s personal wellness easier than it has ever been before.

Clean Eatz is located at 26300 Detroit Rd, in Westlake. For more information, visit the website at CleanEatz.com or call 440-772-4020. For information about the 24 in 24 visit The24In24.org.
