Care at home

Gardens of Western Reserve Home Care and Hospice goes beyond providing medical support and aid at home.

When families consider in-home care or hospice care for a loved one, medical needs and practical support are often the first thoughts. Things like administering medications, helping with daily chores and activities and monitoring health conditions are initial concerns. Although these services are essential, Gardens of Western Reserve Home Care and Hospice goes far beyond medical support and aid in the home.

“We believe true ‘care’ is about walking with individuals and families through one of life’s most tender journeys,” co-founder Hanna Schindley says. “Our team provides compassionate medical care that honors the whole person, offering comfort for the body, heart and soul.”

With combined experience of more than 60 years in senior care and hospice, Hanna, co-founder Rich Piekarski and Rich’s son, Richie, have learned the most meaningful in-home and hospice care also addresses the emotional, social and spiritual needs of both the individual receiving care and their loved ones.

“We are dedicated to being a steady presence, helping families find peace in difficult moments,” Hanna says. “What makes us different is our full-circle approach. Beyond physical comfort, we provide emotional support, grief care and spiritual guidance to the patient and their loved ones.”

For someone facing illness and the final stages of life, consistent support provides comfort and peace of mind, but Gardens of Western Reserve believes that the human connection is equally important. Hanna, Rich and Richie are dedicated to providing your family with compassionate caregivers who listen, provide reassurance and help preserve dignity and independence.

“Families can trust that continuity of care is at the center of what we do. Ensuring no one feels alone during this transition,” Hanna says. At Gardens of Western Reserve, we see hospice and home care as a deeply human experience where dignity, compassion and connection come first.”

Illness affects more than just the individual and family members often carry the weight of emotional and physical stress. Gardens of Western Reserve offers more than just professional services and is a source of guidance and comfort for families.
