Guhde Flooring America & Design Studio

Founded in 1957 by family patriarch Donald Guhde, what began as a flooring store evolved over the years as the level of trust with the clients grew.

Donald’s passion for customer service and craftsmanship was handed down to son Mike, who followed in his footsteps. Mike opened a spacious showroom in Painesville in 1989.

A gen later, and Mike Sr. and wife Diane’s children, Michael Jr. and Monica, along with her husband Shawn Rosa, are at the helm, in their respective roles of general manager, office manager and sales manager.

As demand surged for more of a one-stop-shop, the family began to offer countertops, then added cabinetry and everything else needed for kitchen, bath, basement or whole house renovation.

In 2022, the family moved to a new showroom studio on the terrace level of the Platinum Center in Mentor. Filled with product displays and design tables, they represent the top-selling styles in the industry.
