The healthier way to glow

goGLOW’s custom spray tanning delivers natural-looking color while supporting healthier skin—no tanning beds required.

A stack of books sits on a wooden table, next to a lit candle and a warm cup of coffee or tea.

I t’s the time of year when weddings, vacations and spring and summer fashions all call for a little color—on our skin, that is. We know it’s not good for us to bake in the sun or lay on a tanning bed, but the allure of a suntan is tough to ignore.

Anna Dey has been part of the health and wellness space in Northeast Ohio and the owner of an array of wellness industry franchises since 2012. After a skin cancer diagnosis, Anna was forced to give up her love of the tanning bed, the thing that ironically made her feel good and even healthy.

“I’ve always loved the way a tan makes me look and feel,” says Anna. “After baking in a tanning bed was no longer an option for me, I went in search of a healthier way to get that glow.”

Spray tanning replaced the tanning bed for Anna, but she still wasn’t satisfied with the way the system worked. There weren’t many professional options available and appointments were scarce.

“I knew there were many people out there who felt the same way I did about tanning, whether it’s a little color to lift your look, all the way to that deep, just-returned-from-the-tropics look,” says Anna. “I knew this was a service women and men would utilize if it was easier to access.”

Anna discovered her latest venture goGLOW tanning, a sunless tanning option that supports healthy, moisturized skin that looks and feels rejuvenated.

“A goGLOW treatment starts with a custom color consult with our trained technicians because no two tanning treatments are the same,” says Anna. “We’ll ask questions about your tanning experiences. Are you a first-timer or seasoned professional? Once your technician knows what you’re looking for, they prepare your pH balanced spray for a professional application.”

Two applications are offered, a Single goGLOW, where a minimum 12-hour wait period before rinsing is recommended, and a Rapid goGLOW, with a three- to five-hour post-spray wait period. Both treatments generally last five to seven days with normal activities.

Preparation instructions for your spray include no makeup or moisturizers on the skin and no shaving or waxing within four hours of a treatment.

“We want a neutral canvas, so the spray adheres better to the skin,” says Anna. “We apply a moisture-locking finishing spray afterward and you’re on your way. We recommend loose clothing for the first several hours to maintain an even color. We tell clients to wear their Adam Sandler outfit.”

Your technician takes notes, so every technician knows what spray formula you used in the past and how you felt about the results. This speeds up the process for your next visit.

Every goGLOW spray takes place in a patented goGLOW overspray booth equipped with a filter system that sucks out any solution not hitting your body.

If you want to keep that touched-by-the-sun glow year-round, goGLOW also offers memberships.

“Membership makes sense if you love to be tan like I do,” says Anna. “For those of us who have had any type of skin cancer or even a scare, sunless tanning is the responsible thing to do. And with 150 5-star Google reviews, we know we’re doing it right.”

Every goGLOW experience is relaxing, enjoyable and gives you that glow—just like being in the sun.
