Always introducing emerging technologies to raise the standard of care for their customers, Bob and Ross Pavlik of Brookway Hearing Center have just introduced an auditory training program called LACE AI Pro, for people with and without hearing aids to improve their understanding and cognition.

“Artificial intelligence has propelled this brain training tech in an impressive way,” Bob says, who notes they are one of four providers in Ohio who offer it, " Bob says. “When I heard about how high-performing, interactive and intuitive the newest version had become with AI, I was wowed and decided to bring it into our practice.”

The technology helps people stay more engaged with their world.

“Hearing aids amplify sound, but the brain is where it’s processed and understood,” he adds. “LACE AI is like physical therapy for the brain.”

Patients can access the program through their phone, laptop or computer to go through the interactive training sessions.

“Being able to decipher speech within crowded background noise is the number one complaint we hear from those with hearing loss,” Bob says.

During the interview for this story, Bob generously set me up on the program so I could go through the lessons. The technology was super easy to navigate and would be a breeze for even the most non-technical users.

Bob’s son Ross, who is a licensed hearing aid specialist, notes LACE AI Pro is just one of several recent advancements the center has unveiled.

“We also invested in 3D scanning equipment that accurately maps customers’ ears to create custom molds for hearing aids,” he says. “And with our symposium room, we can simulate noisy environments. This is where we test customers when they first start with LACE AI Pro, and then several months after and their quality of hearing has improved dramatically.”
