Medina-based Amy Hoes and her 50-agent team Showcase Home Group at eXp Realty, tap into intelligent tools at every step of the process.

“Build a better mousetrap and the world will beat a path to your door.”

Ralph Waldo Emerson’s quote from the 1880s time-travels nicely to present day. At the end of the day, businesses that embrace innovation and technology will be the most successful.

In local real estate, one leader has found that taking advantage of AI tools translates into helping clients sell more homes for more money with less time spent on the market. Buyers benefit, too.

Medina-based Amy Hoes and her 50-agent team Showcase Home Group at eXp Realty, tap into intelligent tools at every step of the process.

“We use AI heavily,” she says. “A lot of agents use it for basic tasks like writing captions or listing descriptions. We embed AI into our operational systems.”

While other teams are just beginning to experiment with AI, Amy and her team have built customized, vertical systems designed to handle specific, high-value tasks—from interpreting complex documents to analyzing market data and tracking transaction patterns across hundreds of deals.

Amy’s husband Kurt manages the numbers for the team. He reports that with more than 400 homes sold annually, and nearly 100 transactions pending at any given time, the volume alone demands high-level precision.

“It’s our team’s capability to instantly learn from every scenario that sets us apart,” he says. “This automatic, institutional memory has become a powerful tool. For instance, when a problem surfaces, like a late-night complication, our team can work quickly to move toward a solution that’s worked in the past. Since we solve problems faster, that relates to a better client experience.”

Behind the scenes, Kurt says AI also powers sophisticated, geo-targeted marketing campaigns and behavioral advertising strategies, ensuring their listings reach the right buyers at the right time.

Top National Ranking

The team approach is highly personalized. Amy says once a client starts working with an agent, they remain with that agent throughout the process. Yet the knowledge gained by one agent is shared and utilized by all.

That balance has helped propel them to the top tier of production rankings. According to national real estate metrics, their output is more than double that of the next Medina-based team.

Strike While the Iron is Hot

Amy’s forward-thinking mindset extends beyond Ohio, particularly to opportunities in the Southwest Florida second-home market, where she sees a window for investment.

“Right now, it’s a buyer’s market, in Southwest Florida,” she says. “We’re in a down cycle that’s already a couple years in. Historically, that’s when the best opportunities pop up.”

For buyers willing to think long term, the math is compelling.

“This is one of those elastic moments,” she says. “We are actually buying there ourselves because we believe in the long-term upside.”

If planned and timed well, she notes that rental income can cover a substantial portion of a mortgage within a few years, leaving owners with both a lifestyle asset and an appreciating investment.

“Buyers we are working with now will look up in 10 or 20 years and realize they own a beautiful beach house that’s largely paid for,” she says. “And the gains on the back end can be enormous.”

For the past nearly 20 years, Amy has followed a simple strategy that’s consistently produced results—combine leading-edge technology with disciplined market insight and VIP customer service to always stay a step ahead.
