While other kitchen remodelers provide just the pieces and parts, Van Boxel Kitchen & Flooring offers a comprehensive design process that includes a one-stop materials selection option along with complete coordination.

Is a kitchen, bath or laundry room renovation on your wish list? Do you find yourself standing in the space, dreaming of what could be but not knowing where to start? Van Boxel Kitchen & Flooring has designers waiting to help you create the room of your dreams, provide cabinets, flooring and everything in between, coordinate the entire process, and complete the project often well under your budget.

Kyle Van Boxel started Van Boxel Building Supply offering overstocked building supplies like roofing and siding materials, and windows and doors. In 2018, Kyle added flooring, cabinets and other supplies, sourcing materials from around the U.S. and overseas to find the best pricing and pass the savings along to his customers.

“Kyle expanded to include things like vanities, tile and hardware along with design services, then opened Van Boxel Kitchen & Flooring locations in Chardon and Middlefield,” says Lead Designer Jayson Skudrin. “Walk in Van Boxel with a vision and walk out with a full design of your space and an itemized quote. We’ve streamlined the process to make it easy and enjoyable.”

A kitchen or bath renovation made easy and enjoyable? Sounds impossible.

Here’s how they make it happen.

Lead with Design

What makes a great space in your home? Is it style, functionality, flow? Whatever that perfect space means for you, the designers at Van Boxel will take your vision and bring it to life right before your eyes.

“We create a 360-degree, 3D rendering that represents your space, places cabinets, flooring, hardware and backsplash, and immerses you in the room,” says designer Samantha Wallauz. “You virtually get a sense of how your family will function in the space.”

Samantha can change selections on the screen with the push of a button.

“Don’t like the cabinets or the color?” asks Samantha. “Let’s try this hardware or that flooring or backsplash. Or let’s play with the layout. By the time you leave, you have the perfect plan for your home right in the palm of your hand.”

Stop in the showroom, see and feel the products, then see how they look and function in your home. That’s the Van Boxel difference.

“We focus on personalization,” says Samantha. “At big-box stores you’re just a number. You’re passed through the system for orders, shipping, deliveries and installations. At Van Boxel, you deal with the same person throughout your entire project. We get to know our clients very well and wouldn’t have it any other way.”

Samantha and Jayson love to be in control—and that’s great news for their customers. Start to finish, your Van Boxel designer is your point person, coordinating your project from initial design consult to choosing products, ordering, deliveries and coordinating with your contractor.

“Honestly, this level of control makes things easier for the customer, but also for us,” says Jayson. “We don’t want you calling with questions we don’t have the answers to. Full control is the best scenario for everyone.”

If you don’t have a contractor, Van Boxel can help with that, too.

“We have several contractors we work with regularly, trust and highly recommend. They are used to us micromanaging projects,” jokes Samantha. “And they are as detail-oriented as we are.”

Exceed Expectations

Throughout your experience, Van Boxel has the goal of exceeding your expectations.

“It means a great deal to me that clients trust me with their home projects,” says Samantha. “I spend time with clients, learning how they function in their homes and building relationships. You can’t do this job the right way without it.”

Samantha is also a realtor and has been inside hundreds of homes and understands the importance of functionality and of comfort when it comes to budget.

“We want you to always feel comfortable, never pressured,” says Samantha. “We offer several style and color options at prices to fit every budget. Cabinetry, for example, can be selected from stock Van Boxel cabinets, semi-custom options or fully custom, Amish-made cabinetry. Even our Van Boxel products are made in the area.”

All options are available in the showroom for customers to see.

“Along with vignettes of kitchens on display, we also show base cabinets without tops so you can see the quality of each product line,” says Jayson. “We are transparent in everything we do and never push one line over another. Again, we want you to be comfortable.”

Don’t think you have to be ready for a full renovation when you come to Van Boxel. Maybe you love your cabinets but want a refresh for the countertops or hardware.

“We love a good facelift,” says Samantha. “And if you stop in soon, you could get that refresh before the holidays.”
