Fitness for everybody and every body
With a new location in Mentor joining its sister studio in Willoughby, Club Pilates provides easy access to anyone who wants a low- to no-impact way to improve their health, wellness and body.

What if the new year wasn’t about pushing harder, but about moving better? As 2026 begins, Club Pilates is now open in Mentor, welcoming members to a space where small, intentional movements lead to meaningful change. No matter your age, fitness level or physical limitations, Pilates offers low-impact, functional movement in a supportive, community-focused environment.
“We opened our doors in Willoughby in 2022 and quickly built a community of dedicated members,” says owner Beth Andrus. “This new location allows us to grow, introduce the unique mind-body benefits of Pilates to a new audience, and give our members another convenient place for classes.”
At Club Pilates, members build maintainable routines and make consistent progress with core strength, mobility, posture, back pain, balance and flexibility. Pilates is for everybody—and every body.
“I found Club Pilates in Arizona in 2022 when it was recommended to me by a woman I worked with,” member Marianne Kapusinski says. “I’m 71 and she was in her 30s and I thought I couldn’t do it. But I gave it a try and it’s the only thing I’ve ever stuck with. I’ve never gotten tired of it. There are a variety of classes for everyone. Pilates has kept me moving when my friends are getting more sedentary.”
As a snowbird, Marianne was thrilled to find the Willoughby studio when she came back to Cleveland and is even more excited about the new Mentor location, which is even closer to her home.
“Pilates has kept my body active, my brain healthy with social connection and it’s changed my life.” Marianne says.
Scott Andrew Mills has been a member for just over one year and already hit 250 classes.
“I’m currently raging a battle against the aging process and with Pilates I’ve gained strength in every part of my body,” Scott says. “I bounced back quicker from a recent surgery and hit all my recovery milestones faster because Pilates was already part of my routine.”
And with more than 75 classes offered per week, including Reformer Flow, Cardio Sculpt , Jump Board, Suspend Pilates and TRX, Barre Class and CP Fit, a functional interval training class there is something for everyone. And one-on-one classes are always an option for a more personal experience.
Willoughby lead instructor Courtney Dawson has worked with Scott and witnessed his progress.
“Watching Scott’s progression has been inspirational for me as an instructor and other members,” Courtney says. “Pilates is all about control. Slow, controlled movements keep the body progressing without exhaustion or injury. That’s why it’s great for all fitness levels. We can adjust the tension of the reformer to your capabilities and increase it as you gain strength.”
Developed by Joseph Pilates in 1910 while working with injured soldiers, he famously said, “You will feel better in 10 sessions, look better in 20 sessions and have a completely new body in 30 sessions.”
Mary Zappitelli-Baniewicz agrees. She started Pilates after a major weight loss left her looking for something low impact to help gain strength and combat the aging process.
“Pilates has helped me with everything, even my pickleball game,” Mary says. “My serve is stronger and I can get down to scoop those balls and pop right back up. My husband has joined and, as a physician, tells his patients about it. Pilates class is the highlight of my day.”
A membership-based program, Club Pilates has three monthly membership options with access to an app to register for classes and personalize your experience.
“And the second studio also offers many Willoughby clients a more convenient location along with a greater variety of instructors to choose from,” regional manager Alex Benn says. “We can now offer Pilates to a larger audience and invite everyone to be a part of this growing, vibrant community.”
Mentor lead instructor Yih-Ye Wong comes to Club Pilates from the academic world as a Ph.D. in British literature and English composition.
“I made a big career switch to a healthier lifestyle after years in a very sedentary profession,” Yih-Ye says. “I love helping people improve their lives no matter what they’re doing outside the studio. All roads lead to Pilates.”
Mentor studio manager Meghan King considers it a privilege to be a part of this community. On her own health journey, Meghan has a chronic heart condition that required two heart surgeries in seven months and a pacemaker placement.
“Chronic illness can be isolating,” Meghan says. “Pilates has healed me inside and out. It’s that mental piece of the wellness puzzle that makes Pilates unique. When you add that into a workout, the physical component develops much faster.”
From low impact to no impact at all, Pilates builds muscle, strengthens tendons and ligaments, and improves balance and coordination.
“Join us for a free introductory class,” Meghan says. “Experience the power of Pilates and this community to both strengthen and heal.”
Club Pilates Mentor is a membership-based program with three monthly options. The studio is a growing, vibrant community.
