Creating favorite spaces
Kaye Construction creates inside and outside spaces to love.

The father-and-sons team at Kaye Construction specializes in creating spaces inside and outside of homes that quickly become favorites.
Home remodeling means something different for every homeowner. For one it may involve installing new hardwood flooring throughout the house to elevate the space and create a seamless connection between rooms. For another it may mean upgrading kitchen cabinets and countertops. For others it could be something grander, such as a home addition.
But what do they all have in common? They make homeowners love their spaces so much more.
“We customize every remodeling project and can handle anything inside your home as well as decks and exterior projects,” says Josh Kaye, who along with his brother Joe and father Ron, owns Kaye Construction.
“For those looking to increase their space, we specialize in home additions,” he says. “There are also many modifications we can make that don’t add square footage but dramatically improve the flow and functionality of a home.”
Adding Space
Look up. Look down. Look out back. And don’t forget to look out front. The possibilities are endless for homeowners who love their neighborhoods but need more space in their homes.
From adding a two-story family room to the back of a house to designing a new master bathroom addition to finishing basements, Kaye Construction has done it all.
“We also help homeowners age in place by taking down walls, widening door entries and building first-floor additions so they can stay in their homes as long as possible,” Josh says.
Enhancing Functionality
Not all homeowners have the space to expand, but that does not mean they can’t improve how their house functions.
“Remodeling kitchens is our most requested project,” Josh says. “There is so much we can do to improve upon the space. It’s all in the details.”
When it comes to remodeling, the littlest details make the biggest impact.
Under-cabinet lighting brightens the room and creates a sense of spaciousness. Removing soffits and installing cabinets that extend all the way to the ceiling provides more storage. Clever pull-out drawers, including one designed to hold a KitchenAid mixer or a corner unit that swings outs, make navigating in the kitchen effortless.
Design choices also can also influence how large a room feels. In the remodeled kitchen shown above, a wood plank ceiling draws the eye upward while ever-classic white cabinets paired with blue lower cabinets add a pop of color and ground the space.
Add a Deck!
Kaye Construction builds every deck with characteristics to match the home—and the personalities of the homeowners who live there.
From wraparound decks to charming balconies, pool decks and multilevel floors, Kaye Construction brings versatility, carpentry skills and design sense to every project.
“We have built all sorts of decks from simple platforms to complex three-level structures,” Josh says. “We work with all materials—from traditional wood to low-maintenance composite decking—based on homeowners’ preferences and the architectural style of their homes.”
For this Hinckley homeowner, the remodelers built an expansive deck and stairs made from gray composite decking paired with black metal railings and tension cables. The result is a contemporary, streamlined look that elevates the outdoor space.
“Homeowners love to extend living space outdoors to give them more room to entertain or just relax in the privacy of their back yards,” Josh says. “Summer is the ideal time to build a deck, but we can tackle exterior projects all the way into late fall.”
