Gerri’s Closet is packed with the hottest fall fashions, home accessories and gifts for way less

It’s a misconception that just because you’re buying second hand the styles aren’t first rate,” says Gerri Talevich, owner of Gerri’s Closet, one of Northern Ohio’s most popular consignment shops. Savvy shoppers with a desire to wear the hottest labels for a fraction of regular retail have been flocking to Gerri’s Green-based shop from the Hudson area and beyond for more than two decades.
“Our consigners are women who love fashion and often embrace a trend before it hits Northern Ohio. They also cycle through their wardrobes quickly, refreshing their closets completely each season,” Gerri explains. “What that means to our customers is that they get the benefit of sporting high-end designer looks for way less—and everything is still on trend.”
Gerri meticulously combs through the consignment offerings she’s presented, and then hand selects the best of the best. Many pieces have never been worn and sport store tags. Others may have been loved once or twice. “We’re very picky about what we put out on the sales floor, and we don’t accept everything,” she assures. “But the deal here is, we typically only have one of each item. So, if you see it, and you love it, you have to buy it—before someone else does.”
“Before the start of each season, my staff and I discuss what’s selling and are mindful of what isn’t,” she explains. “Our staff is comprised of fashion-conscious, creative women who stay up-to-the-minute on styles and trends. That’s why our displays are so attractive and forward thinking.”

Gerri says ponchos and gorgeous wraps are big this season, and she’s got them aplenty. She’s also got a huge selection of boots and booties in all sizes, not just six and seven. You’ll even find an impressive selection of workout wear, so you can hit the gym this winter in style.
But a visit to Gerri’s Closet isn’t just about grabbing stylish things to wear. It’s also about nabbing that just-right home accessory to complete a room or procuring the perfect gift.
“We bring in brand new home décor items that we put on the floor alongside consigned pieces so guests have a nice, on-trend variety to choose from,” Gerri says. “On the floor right now we’ve got a darling selection of inspiring signs and other fall décor items like pumpkins and farmhouse-themed goods. We also have gift items like soaps, lotions and candles. And our Myra Bags continue to draw a following.”

Gerri’s is packed with shoes in sizes up to 10 and a few beyond. Clothing sizes range from 0 to Women’s 26, so fashionistas in every category can save big on seasonal styles.

Gerri’s Closet is just a hop, skip and a jump down I-77 in Green, an easy drive from wherever you are. Located on a main street, the store is tucked in a shopping plaza with a generous amount of parking. But if you can’t get to the store, or you’re still a little shy about venturing out, Gerri’s very active Facebook page features hot ensembles available to ship.
Gerri’s Closet is located at 4195 Massillon Road in Uniontown (in the city of Green). Hours are Wednesday and Thursday, 10 a.m.-7 p.m.; Friday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Walk-in consigners are welcome on Wednesday, and by appointment on Thursday and Friday.
