One of the funniest pet videos online is of dogs trying to avoid bath time. There is the Great Dane that stretches its arms and legs out when the owner is carrying it into the bathroom so it will not fit through the door. The boxer that does the infamous butt drag to try to keep away from the tub. Or the toy poodle that runs down the stairs as soon as it hears the bathtub water turned on.
Every dog owner can relate to these situations, as even the most obedient dogs can find it hard to follow commands when they know a bath is coming. That’s why most owners leave the bath to professional groomers.
When the Bubbles-N-Biscuits Mobile Pet Grooming van pulls up to your home, you get the best of both worlds: a professional groomer that makes your pet’s bath time enjoyable and your pet doesn’t even have to leave your home.
“Pets actually enjoy when we bathe them because we have a Super Sudser Luxury Massage system in our mobile pet grooming vans,” says owner Kristi Holzman. “The pressure of the water massages the pet and gets the oxygen and blood flowing.”
“We have had dogs that run through their invisible fence to jump into our van because they are so excited to see us,” she adds.
In addition to the warm, soothing bath, pets enjoy the one-on-one attention they get from the groomer. “The pets always get the same groomer so they become familiar with each other,” says Kristi. “You can tell that your dog enjoyed the grooming as afterward they have more of a puppy demeanor and act happier because they feel good with clean skin and a spiffy new haircut.”
In business since 2006, Bubbles-N-Biscuits Mobile Pet Grooming is growing and has added a fourth van to accommodate all of its clients. The units, which are self-contained with their own water supply and electricity, have a Super Sudser Luxury Massage system for bathing and a hydraulic table for trimming. What you will not find are any cages.
“We don’t use cage dryers, as we hand dry all pets with high velocity dryers,” says Kristi, noting all the vans are equipped with video cameras.
Based in Medina, the mobile pet groomers travel to Cuyahoga, Lorain, Summit and Medina counties to bring pet grooming to your front door. Depending on the breed, the grooming takes one to two hours and includes a bath, clip and nail trim.
Kristi learned her craft from a world-renowned groomer and passed along her skills to her daughter and three other groomers who are all animal lovers.
“All our groomers are trained in AKC-specified breed trims, or we can also do custom trims to your liking,” says Kristi.
New this year, the groomers can add hair color, as well as stenciled designs on your pet’s hip. “Booty bling allows us to get creative and add a temporary design with color or glitter on the fur,” says Kristi.
“We have hearts for Valentine’s Day and shamrocks for St. Patrick’s Day,” she notes.
Bubbles-N-Biscuits Mobile Pet Grooming can handle any pet from a small toy breed to large dog breeds up to 75 pounds, as well as cats and other pets.
