Need more space but don’t want to move? The bearded boys at Kaye Construction are the guys to call. (L-R): Kaye Construction’s Ron, Josh and Joe Kaye.

It seems like everyone has a “guy” they call to help with home improvement projects. Whether a flooring guy to install new luxury vinyl planks or a carpenter guy to build cabinets, it’s often hard to find a guy (or girl) who can handle every aspect of a home remodeling project.

At Kaye Construction, Ron Kaye and his two guys, sons Joe and Josh, are really jacks-of-all-trades and masters of all. When you hire this locally owned family business, instead of getting just one guy you get three experienced remodelers—though they do look a little similar, with bearded faces, which are depicted in the company logo.

“You will find the three of us working side-by-side on every project,” says Ron. “Unlike bigger home improvement companies, where you never meet the owners, we oversee each job personally.”

Ron has been working in the home remodeling industry for more than a quarter century and has passed along his know-how and work ethic to his sons, who he jokingly says were born with a hammer in one hand and a screwdriver in the other.

Specializing in kitchen remodels and room additions, the three of them can remodel and build everything from the floor up.

Kitchen Remodels
In every home, no matter how big or small, the kitchen always seems to be the gathering space. If you want more space in the kitchen or wish to make it more functional, Kaye Construction can make it work better for you and your family.

Whether you are looking to just install a new countertop or tile backsplash or want to gut your entire kitchen, no job is too big or too small for Kaye Construction.

“A lot of older homes have walls separating each room, but nowadays people like a more open concept so we have been taking down a lot of walls that separate the kitchen from the living room or dining room,” says Joe. “While this may not actually increase your footprint, you will gain more usable space and might even have room for an island or pantry.”

“We can move your stove and refrigerator and reconfigure the space so you can add more cabinets,” he adds. “Not only will this make the house feel bigger, it also improves the flow.”

Room Additions
“If you love your house with the exception of just one or two rooms, it’s easier to transform them into something beautiful than selling and buying a new home,” comments Joe. “By building an addition, you can stay in the neighborhood you love.”

Whether adding more space for a dedicated office or enlarging the master bedroom and bathroom, a room addition adds functionality to your home.

The Kaye Construction men are wizards at tile work, flooring and cabinet installations.

Kaye Construction recently built a two-story addition for a Sheffield homeowner. “We added 10 feet to the side of the house, which in turn added 700 more square feet of livable space,” says Joe. “Now they have a new living area, kitchen and dining room downstairs, as well a new master bedroom and huge walk-in closet upstairs.”

A home addition can also allow seniors to age in place. For one Lakewood couple that meant building a bathroom addition onto the back of the house, along with a deck and wheelchair ramp, so they could remain in their home located on a beautiful tree-lined street near the lake.

“It is cheaper than a nursing home to build an addition onto your home so you can age in place, or build an in-law suite for your parents,” says Joe.
