Pampering Dad at Cory’s Hair Studio & Day Spa

In celebration of Father’s Day, we asked Cory’s Hair Studio & Day Spa’s owner Corinne Calabro which salon or spa services men request most.

“Younger guys are looking for a more stylish haircut, and, more specifically, wanting a body wave perm to add volume and curl to their hair,” Corinne says. 

“We also have men who are regulars and come in every month for a massage, facial and pedicure,” she adds. “Nowadays, men also are realizing the importance of self-care.”

This trio of services is for men just as much as women:

• Deep Tissue Massage. This full-body massage focuses on specific tight or stressed areas using deeper kneading techniques. It aids the body to help heal itself, making it ideal for athletes but also for those men just looking for a little relaxation and pampering.
• Body Wave Perm. The younger set—from middle schoolers to college kids to young dads—is sporting longer, volumized hair on top and opting to add loose waves and more texture.
• Healing Pedicure. This pedicure—minus the polish—soothes achy feet and exfoliates dry skin. It starts with a relaxing footbath followed by an intense hydrating foot balm, paraffin wrap and therapeutic lotion massage.

“We are open seven days a week, so we make it convenient for our male clients who need to book appointments during the evenings or on weekends,” Corinne says.
