Don’t put those golf clubs away just yet.

“The temperature is always 70 degrees and the drinks are always cold and close at X-Golf,” says Ron Salerno, who opened indoor golf simulators in Broadview Heights last year and is opening a second location in Fairlawn by the end of the year. “X-Golf is a place to play, train and entertain.”

“We are excited to open a second location to give more golfers the opportunity to golf year-round and to provide a unique party venue,” he adds.

Whether you want to hone your golf skills or just have a fun night out with friends, you can play 50 different courses from around the world, including Pebble Beach and St. Andrews, on indoor golf simulators that are tailored for all ages and abilities.

X-Golf also features a full bar and plentiful menu.

For golfers who like to compete, X-Golf hosts year-round leagues, as well as local and national tournaments. “We have openings in our leagues, which start the second week of January, so now is the time to sign up,” says Ron, noting there are various formats from individual, team and scramble.

An avid golfer, Ron played golf on the Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School team in the ’80s, and now is sharing his passion for golf with others. Joining him is PGA teaching professional Willie Yacknow, who previously worked at Firestone Country Club, and will be offering lessons personalized to men, ladies and kids at X-Golf in Fairlawn.

“Our golf lessons combine expert advice, sophisticated swing analysis and a welcoming environment that is redefining the way people learn the game of golf,” Ron says.

The simulator technology uses lasers and spin cameras to detect the exact ball flight to replicate an outdoor golf round. It also measures fat or thin shots, tops and all the things that can go wrong when playing on real grass. And when used for lessons, the video software breaks down your golf swing frame by frame.

“This is the best golf teaching video software available,” Ron says. “The simulators are 98 percent accurate of what you would do outdoors.”

X-Golf’s welcoming environment starts at the front door at the new Fairlawn location.

Also mimicking the outdoor playing experience, X-Golf has its own 19th hole, with freshly prepared food and a full bar.

“Our menu currently features great-tasting food, such as hot dogs, chicken and waffles, flatbreads and pulled pork on a pretzel bun,” notes Ron. “And we have a full bar featuring local draft beer and an excellent selection of bourbons and tequilas.”

Party Central
With a full bar and tasty food, X-Golf is an ideal place to host a party.

“We can host any private party in our facility, from small parties to large events,” Ron says. “We have done everything from charity events and corporate team building to holiday parties and even a baby shower.”

The eight golf simulators provide a fun activity for partygoers. There are many games that are quick and keep things moving, such as a one-club challenge, Par-3 challenge, and 10-hole challenge.

“We also had a masters challenge for a women’s group that hosted a meeting at our place,” Ron says. “We tailor private events to each group for a unique experience.”

X-Golf is located at 55 Springside Drive in Fairlawn and 9194 Broadview Road in Broadview Heights. For more information or to reserve a tee time, visit PlayXGolf.com.
