Always focused on its commitment to the community, Aurora Memorial Library, part of the Portage County District Library, has expanded their services and programming for community members of every age.

“Two newer programs include ‘The Killer Reads! Book Club,’ perfect for true crime fans, and the ‘International Mystery Book Club,’ for our readers who enjoy mysteries and thrillers,” branch manager Kat Newcity says. “And don’t miss the Paint and Sip program on February 14. Paint-and-sip classes typically cost around $30, but we’re offering ours for free.”

Aurora Memorial Library is dedicated to engagement, exposure and creating a more inclusive environment for all visitors. It now offers free passes to Akron Art Museum Children’s Museum, special exhibitions at The Cleveland Museum of Art, McKinley Presidential Museum and offers sensory kits and adaptive toys for special needs children.

“Our vision is for the library to become a cornerstone of the community, and we do that by giving everyone who uses the library, in person or virtually, the best possible experience,” Kat says.
