Within the garage floor coating industry, we have a nickname for the inexperienced newcomers who paint their name on a vehicle, purchase watered down products at a big box store, and don’t bother investing in equipment or undergoing any training beyond a two minute You Tube tutorial. 

We call them Chuck in a Truck, and you may have already met him.

He’s out to make a fast buck, offers no warranty and after the job hopes to never hear from a customer again. Ever.

I hope homeowners realize if they pay Chuck now, they’ll probably end up paying us later. We do a lot of rework to replace the poor quality installations, as well as that of DIYers.
