Support for sight loss at Magnifiers & More.

A store wall displays various assistive technologies, including magnifiers and tablets, on shelves and slatwall racks.

Because technology can be intimidating, clients are encouraged to try new tools and “see” for themselves the benefits they provide.

Individuals with vision impairments don’t necessarily have to give up the visual tasks they love. At Magnifiers & More, we stay up to date on the latest technology designed to help clients with everyday activities such as reading, writing, watching TV, and using a computer or smartphone.

During a consultation, we take the time to help clients find the right tools to fit their needs and lifestyle.

Lighting and digital magnifiers are the two most common tools we recommend. Proper lighting is essential for improving clarity and contrast, especially for individuals with macular degeneration. Magnifiers range in size from pocket-sized to TV monitor–sized models.

We also offer a variety of helpful accessories, including large-print items such as playing cards and calendars, as well as talking products like watches and clocks.

Magnifiers & More also hosts a free low-vision support group, The Visionaries, at the Mentor Senior Center. Anyone affected by vision impairments is welcome to join.

Magnifiers & More is located at 7775 Mentor Avenue, in Mentor. Visit MagnifiersAndMore.net or call 440-946-3363 for more information. Stop in anytime to shop or make an appointment for a consultation.
