There’s nothing like a leisurely Sunday brunch to make you slow down and savor the good things in life.

At Via Roma Event Center & Ristorante, the in-between meal that offers the best of both worlds is taken to a new level of decadence and delight.

“We recently expanded our a la carte brunch menu, available on Sundays beginning at 10 a.m.,” says President and Co-owner Khadar Soussou. “The dishes are over-the-top in both the savory and sweet flavor profiles.”

He notes the two most popular dishes are Crème Brûlée French Toast topped with crème anglaise, orange zest and caramelized sugar and Cacio e Pepe Scramble, a twist on a classic preparation, with scrambled eggs, pecorino Romano cheese, black pepper and crispy pancetta atop a yummy ciabatta toast.

“We make five kinds of Bloody Marys, with festive sidecar ingredients like bacon and local honey,” he says. “For true aficionados, at a whopping 24 ounces, the Ultimate Bloody Mary is topped with a rotating menu of the chef’s pick. It’s a feast in itself.”

A new dinner menu is also coming soon, making its debut on Thursday, March 20.

Can’t-Miss Weekly Specials

Since we’re in Lent, Khadar says they’ve ramped up their menu to include a variety of seafood specials on Fridays. This is far better than your neighborhood fish fry. And if you’re not a seafood fan, there are plenty of pasta dishes and vegan options on the menu.

“We’ve just introduced a weekly special that will make Wednesday your new favorite date night,” he says. “We call it The Parmesans. A couple can order veal, chicken or smoked eggplant parmesan for two for only $39. Another popular special is Half Off Wine every Monday night for bottles under $100.”

Special Event Central

Via Roma has earned a reputation as the perfect venue for everything from showers and family reunions to grad parties and anniversary parties, corporate events and lavish weddings.

“We make events a distinctive reflection of the host, including customizing menus,” he says. “The Grand Ballroom seats up to 350 and is the ideal venue for weddings and large-scale events, such as galas and charity fundraisers. For busy party planners, it’s a plus that we do it all, from tables and chairs to linens and centerpieces, the cake, lighting, music and photography. All you need to do is send the invitations.”

Three other wedding-perfect venues are the Florence Room for up to 130, the Cantina Wine Cellar for up to 20 guests, and The Grotto on the lower level, which seats 100. This stylish, speakeasy-style venue plays host to musical groups on Friday and Saturday nights, as well as some regional and national talent occasionally taking the stage. See the site for a full event listing.
