Choosing the basics

Investing in good basics for your wardrobe is important because basics never go out of style.

Base Boutique features quality staple pieces like Patrick Assaraf and AMO tees and tanks.

When I’m building my wardrobe, I keep it simple with basics like T-shirts and tank tops. These are items I can accentuate with cozy cardigans or sleek jackets that add extra oomph with a pop of jewelry or a stylish belt.

In my experience, higher-quality basics go a long way, which is why I always carry exceptional brands like Patrick Assaraf or Amo for my tees and tanks.

And if you’re looking for something a little more dressy, shirting line Claridge and King has become extremely popular. If you fancy something a little less tailored, Dear John has a great line of gorgeously flowy blouses.

Dear John also makes amazing jeans, and you cannot go wrong with good denim. Depending on the outfit you’re trying to make, a pair of jeans can help dress up or down your ensemble for any occasion. A light wash jean is perfect for a casual spring or summer look, while a darker jean is a more dressed-up option, better for a night out. Having at least one pair of each wash will give your closet options that will go with whatever you want them to.

Investing in good basics for your wardrobe is important because basics never go out of style. Building on them will level up your wardrobe for whatever the occasion, giving your style a classic edge that will stand the test of time.

Base Boutique is located at 100 N. Main Street, Suite 220, in Chagrin Falls. For more information, visit ShopBaseBoutique.com or call 440-318-1012.
