Can I make a Medicare change?

Sometimes the life we expected to be living changes, and that can cause unecessary stress. When it comes to Medicare, the last thing anyone wants to do is worry.

If your life has taken a turn that’s a little different than you’d anticipated, let me give you a little assurance when it comes to your Medicare plan. I can help.

Maybe you had to make a move and aren’t located near your doctors or preferred hospital anymore. Maybe there are plan options available in your new area that weren’t offered where you used to live. 

Did you leave employer or union healthcare coverage? Did you involuntarily lose medication coverage? Maybe something changed within your plan that just isn’t going to work for you anymore. The good news is you may have the opportunity to make a correction during a Medicare Special Enrollment Period.

 Also, if you sign up for Part A or Part B during a Special Enrollment Period because of an exceptional situation (like a natural disaster or emergency), you’ll have two months to join a Medicare Advantage Plan (with or without drug coverage) or a Medicare drug plan (Part D). Your coverage will start the first day of the month after the plan gets your request to join.
