Building backyard dreams

Impact Landscaping designs and installs stunning outdoor living and relaxation spaces that incorporate nature as the focal point.

Impact Landscaping installs fiberglass pools in a variety of shapes and sizes, often incorporating features like tanning ledges and beach-entry slopes. Its expert landscaping crew completes the design by planting trees, shrubs and perennials to soften up the edges around the pool and blend it seamlessly into the yard.

Water has a soothing effect, whether you’re in it or simply near it. The sound of splashing water, a cascading creek or bubbling fountain lowers stress hormones and slows the heart rate, putting the mind into a relaxed state, sometimes referred to as a “blue mind.” It’s why almost everyone loves beach vacations and resort pools.

Impact Landscaping has built its reputation on bringing that same resort-style experience to homeowners’ back yards, creating spaces families can enjoy year-round.

When it comes to back yard design, a built-in swimming pool often takes center stage, becoming the focal point of the outdoor space.

“We specialize in designing and installing backyard retreats, which often include water features,” says Jeff Heinl, vice president of Impact Landscaping. “A water feature completely changes the ambiance of a yard, making it more relaxing and inviting.”

“Most pool companies just sell and install the pool, but we fully integrate it into your overall backyard design,” he explains. “Think of us as more of a general contractor spearheading your entire outdoor entertaining space. If you want a pool this summer, now is the time to schedule the project as we can start digging this spring and have the pool ready by summertime.”

For homeowners who want a smaller, low-maintenance option, cocktail pools are growing in popularity. These compact pools are significantly less expensive than a traditional pool but still provide a refreshing place to take a dip.

While pools often make the biggest splash, there are a myriad of other water features homeowners can add to their back yards.

“We have built waterfalls in boulders, constructed manmade creeks, designed koi ponds, and we’ve installed many fountains,” Jeff says. “Water fountains, in particular, can be like works of art. The possibilities are endless.”

Many homeowners also complement water features with pavilions, patios, fireplaces and outdoor kitchens for the ultimate backyard retreats.

“Pavilions are one of today’s most in-demand backyard upgrades,” Jeff notes. “They allow you to enjoy the outdoors, even in rainy or cold weather. Add HVAC, and a pavilion becomes a year-round retreat.”

Modern backyard designs now mirror the comforts of a home. Ventless fireplaces, fully equipped kitchens, TVs, built-in speakers and layered lighting create a cohesive, functional and beautiful outdoor living space.

“We design with intention,” Jeff says. “Everything is integrated so the backyard feels like a natural extension of your home.”
