Awestruck with gratitude

The Showcase Home Group at eXp Realty, featuring  Amy Hoes, is on track to double home sales volume for 2025.

Taking a cozy moment, with fuzzy slippers on their feet and hot cocoas in hand, Amy Hoes and her daughter Atalie have a lot to toast heading into the holidays. The twosome is taking a well-deserved pause to look back on a record-setting year of growth for the dedicated Medina-based team Showcase Home Group at eXp Realty.

Connecting with family and loved ones amidst an insanely busy work schedule has always been Amy’s modus operandi.

“I’m awestruck with gratitude for what we’ve accomplished in 2025,” she says. “We are on pace to have sold more than 450 homes by year-end, which is pretty remarkable. At the end of last year, we’d sold 280 homes. While our sales volume has nearly doubled, market activity in Medina has slightly increased.”

She couldn’t be more grateful to her growing team and the hustle has shown throughout the year to make these sales happen.

“We’ve been fortunate to attract talented agents who want to be part of the eXp Realty momentum,” she says. “This is the fastest-growing brokerage in the world for good reason. Its tech-forward, cloud-based protocol streamlines transactions for both the seller and agent.”

Targeting the Potential Buyer's Market

Another contributing factor for success has been the company’s geo-targeted marketing strategies and behavior-based advertising. Amy says they are able to put a listing in front of the maximum number of potential buyers, blanketing the market.

“This has worked wonders in terms of increasing the amount a home sells for and decreasing the amount of time it’s on the market,” she says.

Atalie grew up in the world of real estate, tagging along to Amy’s open houses and transactions. Now that she’s an agent herself, she says it’s more than she could have hoped for.

“I especially love working with first-time home buyers, who are often around my age,” says Atalie. “Guiding people to make smart investments into the homes of their dreams is my favorite part of the job.”

The Crystal Ball Report for ’26

“The Federal Reserve lowered the interest rate by one-quarter of a percentage point in September, and we hope to see this trend continue,” says Amy. “Even a small drop, down to 6.19%, the lowest in a year, can impact the real estate market. We’ve already seen the drop push the needle for what we call ‘the lock-in effect,’ where people are locked into historically low interest rates from several years ago and don’t want to move.”

Amy predicts with the amount of people they are adding to their team, 2026 is going to shine bright.

“We hope to double the team and double the number of home sales, up to 800 homes,” she says. “This would be a testament not only to our size, but also to the quality of our service.”

Making the Move South

If diversifying your investments in the year ahead includes buying a second place in Florida, Amy and her team have your back. Over the past year they’ve expanded their footprint to Southwest Florida’s sunny seaside towns of Marco Island and Naples.

“Whether you plan to use it as a snowbird, for vacations or retirement, now is an excellent time to buy a home in these areas of Florida,” she says. “They are currently in a bust cycle, with home prices dropping and too much inventory on the market.”
