For distinctive holiday gift giving, don’t miss the region’s hottest annual retail holiday event—right in the heart of Fairlawn.

Nestled in the heart of Fairlawn, just a few hundred feet off West Market Street, is a high-end furniture and design center filled with fabulous gifts and accessories for the holiday season. It’s so hidden, you’ve probably driven past it without realizing.

Doug Jones & Company is a treasure trove of furniture, accessories and gifts. It’s the kind of boutique you’d expect to wander into on New York’s 5th Avenue, not on Fairlawn’s Shiawassee Avenue.

If you’re looking to wow your gift recipients this holiday season with elegance you just won’t find at HomeGoods or TJ Maxx, Doug Jones & Company is the shop for you.

“Our team seeks out lines that are original and distinctive,” says founder Doug Jones. “You won’t find the ordinary here.”

And now you’re invited to the store’s annual Holiday Open House on Sunday, November 23, from 12-4 p.m., featuring cocktails, tasty holiday bites and discounts throughout the showroom. It’s the perfect chance to start your holiday shopping (and have some fun).

Along with beautiful home furnishings, art and accessories, Doug and associate Joey Labay have stocked the showroom with stylish, upscale holiday gifts.

“We offer two lines of candles our customers absolutely love,” Joey says. “Nest candles out of New York feature sophisticated scents, while Voluspa candles from California are made of hand-poured coconut wax with fun, glitzy packaging. And right now we’re excited to announce our exclusive, limited-edition Voluspa Wicked candles (see sidebar).”

Other gift ideas include picture frames, serving trays, coasters, barware for men and a collection of beautifully mounted, exotic tropical butterflies.

For the holidays or the ideal bridal gift, browse the shop’s collection of handcrafted, eco-friendly Beatriz Ball home accessories and tableware, all presented in attractive boxes. “These stunning oven-to-table pieces will become family heirlooms,” Doug says.

Along with gifts and home furnishings, Doug Jones & Company also offers case goods, custom upholstery, rugs, wallpaper, artwork, lamps, plants and more—almost anything you need to give your home a distinctive style.

Doug Jones & Company is located at 55 Shiawassee Avenue, Suite 2, in Fairlawn. The showroom is on the north side of the building. The phone number is 330-836-4410. Hours are Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Wednesday and Friday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; and Sunday and Monday by appointment. Find Doug Jones & Company on Facebook or visit DougJonesAndCompany.com.
