Secure your legacy

Attorney Margie Karl has spent years working to help protect the assets of people across Northeast Ohio. Here’s how she can secure yours.

Designed to help entrepreneurs strengthen their leadership skills, the prestigious Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program only accepts a select group of applicants each year.

For local attorney Margaret T. Karl, the professional milestone of being accepted into this national program means she can connect with other entrepreneurs and make a greater impact on her clients and the community. It’s a testament to her entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to serving others.

“I’ve heard so many incredible things about the program that made me want to be a part of it,” says Margie, who is currently going through the fall cohort of classes and workshops. “I hope to gain valuable insight in creating opportunities for growth. As a busy professional, I don’t have the time to sit down and ask tough questions. This program taps into mentorship and working with a business advisor and is forcing me to take the time to work on a professional path to follow.”

Reaching out beyond her network and paying it forward has always been a mission of Margie’s. She’s practiced elder law and estate planning for more than 20 years, earning a reputation for being a lawyer you can put your trust in to customize and strategize unique estate plans.

Supporting Her Community

The civic organizations within her hometown of Olmsted Falls have for many years enjoyed Margie’s sponsorship, volunteerism and engagement.

She also does speaking engagements at seminars and senior centers all over the Cleveland area to help people start thinking about their estate plans.

“I like to debunk myths about wills,” she says. “For instance, people often think they are only for the very old or the very rich, which isn’t true. Anytime you have assets worth protecting is the right time to draft a will. It also makes things much easier for your loved ones after you pass.”

To anyone who has been putting off getting a will because they think it’ll be a lot of expense, effort and time spent on their part, she also says “not true.” She can draft one in two half-hour meetings, and it only costs a couple hundred dollars. All Margie needs is a general idea of the worth of your assets and the contact information for those you appoint as executors and guardians.

A Knack for Compassion

When people look for an attorney, they often ask a friend who their attorney is. This is how Margie has built up her practice over the years, with happy clients spreading the word about her compassion and professionalism. Since she owns the practice, Margie can spend as much time as she likes when meeting with clients, listening to their needs and situations to best represent their interests in choosing the right legal documentation.

Here are a few reviews:

“Margaret gets the job done,” says Barb M. “She is very knowledgeable and easy to work with. A great experience overall.”

Katie B. says, “Margie is a top-notch attorney! She is kind and approachable. She helps you make the best decisions for your situation and facilitates the steps needed to make that happen. She’s very involved in the community, a real hometown hero. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone seeking a will, power of attorney, etc.”
