Discover the beauty and craftsmanship of live edge at Unique Live Edge Tables.

Have you ever searched for that special piece to complete your home décor? John Fisher, owner of Unique Live Edge Tables in Chesterland, had a recent client drive from Pittsburgh to see if John could create the elusive piece he’d been searching for.

“He had been looking for eight months for the perfect table, but there was always something that was not quite right,” John says. “I understood his vision, he chose the slab and I made it for him, exactly to his specifications.”

Growing up around the lumber business, John learned everything about wood. When they got older, John and his brother Marvin became interested in live-edge furniture. They honed their craft and grew to love the creativity and beauty of the art.

“We started making tables in 2019,” John says. “Today, we’re showcasing our talents at our showroom in Chesterland.”

Stop in, see and feel what live edge is all about. John and Marvin love to share this increasingly popular style that merges natural beauty with functional craftsmanship that fits any style décor.

Here’s a few reasons why live edge could be the perfect, one-of-a-kind addition to your home.

  • Custom: John will make exactly what you want in walnut, maple, hickory, cherry and rare wood varieties when available. No two items are ever the same. Bring a picture or an idea and John will bring it to life.
  • Eco-friendly: Live-edge slabs come from reclaimed or responsibly sourced wood, making them a more sustainable option.
  • Versatility: Live edge is not just for tables. Charcuterie boards, wall hangings, wine racks, light fixtures, shelving, bar tops, dog beds and more are available.
  • Durable: Colored epoxy of your choice can be added to fill gaps and cracks in some wood to create a durable, one-of-a-kind river table.
