Major league roofers

Spartan StormShield is raising the roof on another winning season ... and leaning in as proud partners of the Cleveland Guardians.

A stack of books sits on a wooden table, next to a lit candle and a warm cup of coffee or tea.

The two-year partnership between Spartan StormShield and the Guardians puts this local, family-run roofing company in the heart of the game-day experience. You’ll hear the company’s name during radio broadcasts, notice it featured on the digital outfield sign during select innings and recognize it as the sponsor of the call to the bullpen. The timeless love of baseball is sparking a new partnership between the fan-favorite Cleveland Guardians and equally popular, fast-growing home exterior company Spartan StormShield.

“The Cleveland Guardians are always looking for meaningful ways to connect with local businesses within our community,” says Guardians Senior Account Executive Michelle Arendas. “Spartan has a reputation for its skilled and knowledgeable staff and dedication to quality work—traits we look for in our partners. We’re looking forward to working together in the seasons ahead to support their goal of offering high-quality roofing and siding solutions to our fans.”

Spartan StormShield’s reputation, which has been 90% built through word-of-mouth referrals, caught the attention of the Guards.

“Well, to be honest, it was a total surprise,” says co-owner Jeramie Lopez. “The Guardians approached us and determined we would be a good fit for partnership. Instantly, the co-owners and I recognized the reality that this could be a great opportunity and immediately brought us back to how much we loved the organization as kids being avid baseball fans!”

“Give ’em the Heater”

As part of the partnership, you’ll also see Jeramie on the mound throwing a ceremonial first pitch at the Guardians game on Tuesday, June 9.

“It’s a big stage,” he says. “This level of visibility is an honor that reinforces what our company values are, being rooted in the community and proud to support all things Cleveland.”

For Jeramie, tossing the first pitch will be a real full-circle moment. He’s been playing baseball since he was 5 years old and went on to play in center field for Midpark High School, where his team was first in its conference and he was recruited by colleges.

“I simply enjoyed being a part of a team where I developed many memories and learned a great deal about life and overcoming adversities,” he says, alluding to a career-ending injury that forced him to focus on his studies.

When the Guardians opportunity happened, Jeramie told his mother, “I’m able to make it to the ballpark after all.”

“There were times I wished I would have picked the sport back up again after my injury, but God had other plans for me,” he says. “Now, I’m back in the ballpark setting and my company has successfully grown, where I have an impact on helping provide for other families. It has been a huge blessing.”

His family will also be front and center—wife, mother, uncles and the rest of the Spartan StormShield team—cheering him on.

He notes this partnership revolves around more than marketing. It’s about the shared values of hard work, perseverance and flexing your hometown pride. Batter up.

Armed with product innovation and trusted craftsmanship from highly trained crews, Spartan StormShield lives up to its reputation for installing “the roof system to last your lifetime.” It installs and repairs roofs for homes and businesses all over Northeast Ohio. Financing options for siding and roofing are available.
